Chinese Food
I looked at my poketech. It was already 8:45 pm and Ash still hadn't shown yp for our date. I looked around the Chinese restraunt. Still no sign of Ash. I sighed and put my head down.
"Those tables haven't been washed today, ya know."
I jumped and sat up, to see a familiar purple haired boy wearing a black t-shirt and jeans with a white apron around his waist.
"Paul?" I said surpised "What are you doing here?"
He rolled his eyes and pointed to his apron. "I work here Einstein." I felt my face grow hot. He raised an eyebrow. "But, I could ask you the same thing"
"Not that you care, but Ash was supposed to meet me here for a date." I sighed. I could have sworn I saw a hint of anger and jelousy in Paul's eyes.
I laughed at myself. " I don't know why I'm still here." I said. "Well While I am I might as well have something to eat." Paul pulled a notepad and pen from his apron pocket and looked at me. I looked over my menu, but nothing sounded good. I sweatdropped.
"Um... Just gimme 2 fortune cookies!" Wait, 2? I don't want 2! I was about to tell Paul, but he was already walking back to the kitchen. Strangely when he was gone, I found myself with a goofy smile.
'Now that I think about it Paul's kinda cu-' I stoped my thought. 'What am I thinking! I'm supposed to hate Paul!'
I looked at the table. ' Oh, who am I kidding! I don't hate him! Just the opposite actually!' I sighed 'I can't deny it anymore. I love him and that's all there is to it!' Then I noticed Paul coming back, and had an idea. He dropped my cookies and started to walk away, but I grabbed his wrist. We both blushed a tiny bit.
"I ordered 2 fortune cookies for a reason." I pulled paul into the seat across from me. He smirked and I handed him a cookie. "You first." he said. Pulle the little paper out of the cookie and read.
"Sometimes love is found within people who seem empty of it." I blushed a little thinking about Paul. "Your turn" Paul pulled his paper out and read.
"To let true love remain unspoken, is the quickest route to a heavy heart." This time, we both blushed. The next few moments were spent in quiet.
"Paul?" I said, breaking the silence. "If I tell you something, will you promise not to get mad?"
"Hmnh?" he looked at me. I blushed furiusly.
"I, I kinda, well, uh, I kinda love, like, you." I said, preparing to be laughed at. The laughter never came. I looked at him. He was smiling!
"That's good." He said, leaning towards me. "'Cause I love, like you, too." He leaned in closer and kissed me right on the lips! My eyes widened, but soon closed.
'Bliss.' I thought. 'Pure, bliss'
"PAUL!!!"
We broke apart quickly and blushed.
"I gotta go..." Paul got up to leave, only to be stopped by me, agaiin. I stood up and kissed him on the cheek lightly, then stepped back.
"Seeya." I said, blushing, then walked out the doors of the restraunt, leaving a slightly stunned Paul behind.
As I walked back to my car, I couldn't help but think,
'Man, am I glad I love chinese food!'
