"Man, I can't even eat."
Carly's eyebrows lifted a little as she turned to Sam, who was holding a french fry while sitting upside down on the couch. Her long blonde hair dangled over the seat's edge and grazed over the floor as her eyes held a look of distaste.
Sam glanced at her. Carly's expression of disbelief spoke words.
Playfully, the blonde held the french fry out towards her, and Carly promptly snatched it away from her fingers using her teeth, smiling.
"I didn't think this exam would worry you," Carly voiced, now flipping through the history textbook in her lap and shifting her legs under her on the floor.
Sam set her own textbook down over her stomach and the brunette could see a few food stains dotting the cover of the book. She smiled to herself.
It was partly true. Normally, she wouldn't swallow a bullet over an exam, but this time it was different. Since two weeks ago, Sam's values have changed quickly, and she was still dizzied by it all.
She sighed. "Well... I mean, it shouldn't. I usually don't care about this stuff." Sam motioned to the textbook sitting on her body and looked sadly up at Carly.
"But, I guess I want you to be proud of me, that's all."
Carly felt a warm feeling spread throughout her body as she leaned forward to peck her on the lips, upside down.
"Sam, I'd love it if you aced this thing - I just want the best for you. But, if you don't, I won't love you any less," Carly said quietly, her lips hovering over the blonde's.
Sam looked at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Really? I thought you'd get flaming mad and never want to look at me ever again and force Freddie to be a correspondence betwen us," she said, smiling.
The brunette laughed. "No, I was actually opting for falling into a spiraling depression and never leaving my room, forcing Freddie to be a correspondence between us."
"Hm. Glad to know we have equally dramatic minds."
Carly kissed her again, throwing some history notes at her.
"Study, Sam."
