Summary: Ichigo does something unspeakable to Isshin without intending to.
Isshin dashed about the household, trying to get his crap together.
He wheeled about halfway to the kitchen and went to his office to snatch up his attachè case before he forgot about it-a high likelihood what with his gold-fish level attentive-span.
Somewhere behind him, he heard a high-pitched squeal and his three-year-old son, Ichigo, came tottering after him in a Huggies diaper and a bib that was smeared with ravioli, which was the only thing Isshin had the patience to nuke while his wife was off at the supermarket. Jeez, Isshin, it's only been 30 minutes and you already forgot him."Ichigo," he groaned, and the tiny boy looked up at him from under the spiky mess of orange hair that crowned his head.
He gave a gargle, and then sneezed.
Isshin bent down and picked him up, making sure to avoid touching the tomato sauce stains on his shirt-Misaki would have a fit.
"We've gotta get you cleaned up."
He rushed down the hall and into his room, placing Ichigo down on the futon and specifically warning him not to get his ravioli smeared hands on the comforter. After managing to retreive a wet cloth and clean the boy's fingers and cheeks free of sauce, Isshin went about packing for the job he'd been called off to.
Apparantly, Ryuuken was going to be short some of his employers due to certain circumstances and he was needing someone to temporarily replace them. Isshin was his man.
"Daddy, look at this!" Ichigo announced, sticking out two of his fingers.
Glancing over his shoulder and figuring he should keep his son entertained, Isshin turned, reached out, and stuck the kid's tiny fingers in his mouth.
"Daddy's gonna eat your fingers," he growled in a mockingly menacing voice.
Isshin stood up and went back to filling his leather case, but when he looked back up, Ichigo was standing on the bed, staring at his fingers with a devastated look on his face.
"What's wrong, Ichigo?" Isshin asked, concerned.
The orange-haired toddler replied, "What happened to my booger?" Isshin turned green.
