Author: Kage Kioku Aji Tenshi A.K.A. Kage-san Summary: it wasn't about the number 13 at all, the number was 14. L.A. B.B. murders, Lower case after capitol L after B 13+1, Upper case B looks like 13 lower case looks like a 1, 13+114, 14 years was all he L had left. Why Beyond Birthday really killed those three people and attempted suicide.
Maybe he did it for attention. Maybe he finally gave into that homicidal urge. Or perhaps it was to try to tell someone that they were running out if time.
Beyond sat in his cold, padded cell, thinking about the message.
'He doesn't get what I was trying to do!' he screamed, uselessly as no one cared to listen.
Beyond punched the padded wall.
'If he had just subtracted 12 from 34 he would have gotten his remaining life years.' He said to himself.
Q is 17th in the alphabet, 17 times 2 is 34. B is second in the alphabet, 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 and if Beyond had died it would have been 2 and 2 added to the previous twos. Children come first and they become taller, adults shrink. Add the fact that there were to be 4 murders and each person had the same letter for their first and last name. So you add 17 and 17. Add 12 to 8 and get 34 – 20 14.
14 years was all the time L had left when Beyond killed.
Beyond wanted L to know that he was running out of time.
Perhaps he was telling L to resign himself to his fate and not be disappointed. Or maybe he wanted L to know he cared and maybe he was trying to save him.
