The Story Of The Dolphin Rock Star
One time not so long ago somewhere not so far away, two cousins named Sharpay and Delilah were living together in a trailer home near the ocean. One morning Delilah was walking near the ocean when she heard a voice call her. Delilah looked all around and saw a dolphin caught in a palm tree. "Please be kind to a poor soul and help me down from here and into the water. You see I'm really a rock star." the dolphin begged Delilah. Delilah, who loved animals very much, was more than happy to assist the dolphin/rock star. She smiled as the dolphin swam away.
Happy with her good deed, Delilah went back to her cousin's trailer. Eventually Delilah's cousin Sharpay woke up and Delilah related her story. Once Delilah was finished Sharpay asked "And you didn't ask for something in return? We really could use a new car. Yeah, yeah ask for a silver convertible! I'm sure the dolphin will be happy to give you one." Delilah wasn't sure that was a such a good idea and told Sharpay so. However Sharpay threw a fit and Delilah gave in. She didn't want to be kicked out of the trailer since, she didn't own it.
Delilah went back to the ocean and called out "Oh dolphin if you are truly a rock star come to me. My cousin has forced me to give you a request. I don't want to but I haven't got a choice." The dolphin came to the surface of the water and asked Delilah what her cousin wanted. "Sharpay, my cousin, wants a silver convertible." she told the dolphin. The dolphin told Delilah, "Go back home, your cousin has her car." Sure enough Sharpay was driving a silver convertible around in circles in front of her trailer when Delilah arrived. "Oh my gosh look at my car!" Sharpay gushed. "Isn't it sweet? Get in!" Delilah did get in the car and the cousins went and got some ice cream. The car really was beautiful and Delilah enjoyed having it around, as long as Sharpay didn't ask for anything else…
Sadly, that wasn't to be. After a week Sharpay told Delilah, " I do like the car but I want MORE!! Ask the dolphin for a mansion, this house is way too small." Delilah begged Sharpay "Please Sharpay don't do that. Wasn't the car enough?" Sharpay threw a fit and again Delilah found herself walking to the ocean shore. She called the dolphin as before and he came. "What is you cousin's request?" the dolphin asked. "She wants a mansion now." Delilah told the dolphin. "So it shall be." the dolphin told Delilah. When Delilah arrived back home instead of finding the house she had always known, she saw a mansion. "Look how HUGE this place is." Sharpay told Delilah. "Each of us could get 9 bedrooms if we wanted too!" Delilah found herself enjoying the mansion and nothing bad would happen if Sharpay didn't want anything else from the dolphin.
Unfortunately Sharpay couldn't be satisfied. Another week came to pass and Sharpay told Delilah, "The mansion is nice but I want to be famous now! Ask your dolphin friend." Now Delilah was scared. What if the dolphin got angry with them for the constant wishing and made something bad happen? Again Delilah begged Sharpay not to ask more of the dolphin but Sharpay insisted. Delilah, terrified, walked to the ocean. She called the dolphin just as before and he came to Delilah. "What does you cousin want now?" The dolphin asked her. "She wants to be famous." Delilah responded. "Go back" the dolphin instructed Delilah. "Your cousin is back in her old trailer." And that is where to this day Sharpay and Delilah live.
