It was a warm summer day at the Burrow. It was Molly's Aunt Muriel's 111th birthday and the whole family had gathered to celebrate. Of course Auntie Muriel wasn't the easiest person to get along with. She insulted everyone within two minutes of her arrival and she made no attempts to keep her voice down.
Teddy Lupin, age five, was wondering what was the point in celebrating a grumpy old lady's birthday but he thought it would be too rude to ask out loud. Meanwhile, little Victorie Weasley was meeting Muriel for the first time and seemed to be fascinated by her. Or so it seemed because Victorie hadn't looked away from Muriel since they sat down at the dinner table.
Unable to hold her curiosity any longer Victorie asked "Auntie Muriel, why is your skin so wrinkled?" this caused several adults to snicker. "How come you just don't iron it?"
Muriel looked affronted, but before she could speak her mind Arthur Weasley cut her off. "What's an iron?"
"It's a muggle device used to straighten clothes" Hermione piped up.
"It gets rid of wrinkles" Victorie added, "I'm sure it'll work on your face."
"It doesn't work that way, sweetie" Bill told his daughter hoping she'd let it drop. He wanted to laugh as much as his brothers George and Ron were doing but he knew Muriel would take offense.
"Don't worry Victorie," Teddy said as he helped himself to seconds, "Harry says Muriel is so old she's liable to croak at any moment."
"Excuse me!" Muriel exclaimed while Harry blushed.
"That isn't exactly what I said" Harry said trying to calm Muriel down. She was now the color of beetroot and slightly shaking.
"Yes it is. You said you don't know why we were throwing a party for her birthday when she's bound to die at any moment. And then Ginny said that Muriel is too stubborn to die and she'd probably stick around as a ghost just so she could continue insulting people" Teddy said loudly.
"OKAY! Who's ready for dessert?" Arthur Weasley
