Short one-shot. I think I'm doing one for every fandom of mine now...

Disclaimer: If only...

They'd overstepped a boundary.

Treasure Planet, the gold, and half the crew was gone; they had gone through a mutiny, and had faced a minimum of 4 life-threatening situations- all in the span of 36 hours.

And the only thing going through Delbert Doppler's and Amelia Smollet's minds was the embrace they just shared.

Surprisingly enough to the both of them- she was the one that was flustered. She blamed her head. Obviously, a concussion, no matter how mild it is, is not going to go away in just one day. And she still had a slight temperature. That was the reason her face was red.

There was nothing wrong with hugging people after a victory of some sort. It was natural to want to celebrate not dying with friends. So why did she feel so awkward?

It was her head, it definitely had to be her head. And that warm and fuzzy feeling that was spreading over her was from her fever, not his eyes. Not his wonderful eyes...

Disgusted with herself, she snapped her head down and concentrated on making a stern face, although it probably came out as something very different. As long as it didn't look like what she was really feeling (longing) she was perfectly fine.

Delbert noticed her change in mood, and- naturally- had no idea of what to say.

So he hugged her again.

A/N: Yeah, I think it's a bit short, but where am I gonna go from there? I do like the ending, though. It's just like the Doctor to make an awkward situation even awkwarder. Tell me I'm wrong. Do it. C:
