Disclaimer: still don't own Glee. Tear.

I'm not really sure if this is even good, it just sort of came to my mind.

Anything and Everything

Six and a half months into her pregnancy, Quinn Fabray went into premature labor.

She squeezed the hell out of Noah Puckerman's hand for what seemed like an eternity.

Fourteen hours later, little baby Fabray-Puckerman was born, weighing a meager two pounds, eleven ounces. The doctors regretfully informed them that their baby girl might not survive.

Oh-so-tough Noah finally let down his guard. He and Quinn cried themselves to sleep in each other's arms in her hospital bed.

Doctors came back with more news.

Things still weren't looking up. Baby Girl Puckerman would have to stay in the hospital for a while, and it was best they go home.

So Quinn and Noah left, not feeling any better about their future.

Three weeks went by. Tick, tock, tick, tock...

They went to visit Baby Girl every day. She couldn't have a name – not yet, not until they knew her, if they ever got to.

Four weeks.

Five weeks.

Eight weeks.

Baby Girl was having breathing trouble. The doctors said that maybe they would never see her healthy.

Just like in the hospital bed, they went home and cried until their eyes were dry.

Nine weeks.

Eleven weeks.

Doctors say Baby Girl Puckerman is breathing more easily now.

So are Noah and Quinn.

They go home and Noah proposes to Quinn with his grandmother's ring.

Quinn cries.

Things are looking up.

No big wedding for them, just an official one. Money is all being saved for Baby Girl. They invite the glee club, Mr. Schuester, Ms. Pillsbury, and Noah's mother and sister – not even Quinn's parents.

The glee club sings for them – Sweet Caroline. Everyone cries. Even Noah.

Quinn's parents officially disown her when they find out she married a Jewish boy, and not a good Christian like they wanted for her. She yells at them for being unsupportive and horrible parents. She even calls them prejudiced to their faces, and she confidently struts home.

But she cries again when she gets there.

Baby Girl only has one grandparent now.

Of course, they don't tell her this when they get to the hospital to visit her that day. They just show her the ring. She seems to open her eyes a little more now. Noah can swear he saw her smile.

Fifteen weeks.

Sixteen weeks.

Doctors say Baby Girl Puckerman is sick. She will come home soon, but she isn't very healthy at the moment, and that might never change. Quinn and Noah say they need their baby as soon as she doesn't need hospital care anymore. Doctors promise to try.

Baby Girl is sick. Maybe she does know that she only has one grandparent to love her.

Their baby is sick, but they adore her and love her, maybe more than most parents. They'll get through it. They got through everything. Quinn's inconvenient, stereotyped relationship. Puck's player attitude; they got through that and past those times. They got through ridicule and the inevitable shame of being a pregnant sixteen-year-old, and they got through Quinn's parent drama. They're Noah Puckerman and Quinn Fabray, damn it, and they can get through anything as long as they're together.
