Tooth Fairy
Tres was close to fidgeting as Father Abel zipped the frilly pink outfit up in the back. "The purpose of this mission?" he asked monotonely, almost curious as he fingered a packet of glitter Abel had shoved in his hand not moments ago.
Abel poked his head out, smiling good naturally. "Just sprinkle some dust on the kids, pass them a gift in exchange for their teeth, and high tail it outta there." Tres felt his eyebrow wrinkle in confusion. This was all for the purpose of the children of the orphanage. Tres was not used to children. He wasn't good with children. In fact, he often sent children running off crying to Father Abel. So why had Abel chosen him of all people to pay the tooth fairy while the children were sleeping.
Every sensor and drive told him quite logically "this is going to end badly." but Abel was still smiling, so he supposed it was alright.
"My success rate?" Tres asked instead of commenting, though he was already working the number out in his head. Abel's grin widened.
"Oh, probably below zero." Red eye brows crinkled even lower, not sure how to respond to the fact that Abel knew he was going to fail at this.
"Then why am I the soldier for the job?" Abel turned Tres around, taking in the obviously fake pink butterfly wings and the tiara atop red hair. Abel poked his nose in an affectionate way, smirking almost slyly.
"Cause you're the only person I want to see in a tooth fairy outfit."
