People Will Say, We're In Love

"Morning" Jack strolled into the bullpen and gave Sue a wink before bending to scratch Levi between the ears.
"Hi! You're cheerful this morning."
"Did you enjoy your dinner with Lucy?"
"It was good," she replied not quite meeting his eye. "How about you... Good night out with the guys?"
"Yeah, great, thanks." He turned away and removed his jacket, hanging it up before settling at his desk and booting up his computer. A kafuffle in the doorway had them both looking up.
"Hey Sparks, what happened to you last night? I thought you were going to join us for a couple of games."
Jack coloured a little and gave Sue a sheepish 'oops, I've been caught' look. "Yeah sorry Crash, I fell asleep on the couch, must have been more tired than I thought."
"Didn't get much shut-eye while you were undercover, eh?" The Aussie teased.
"I don't know... these newlyweds..." Myles joined in.
"No... Strange bed... strange surroundings, you know." Jack stated, slightly annoyed by the attention
"I thought you said you could sleep anywhere?" Sue queried, squinting her eyes at him.
"He can," Bobby confirmed. "That guy could sleep on a picket fence."
"Really..? Then there must have been another distraction to keep him awake." Harvard grinned.
"Now this is interesting," Lucy commented as she and Tara walked over to join the conversation. "Sue could barely keep her eyes open at dinner last night. I thought she was going to finish up face down in the dessert at one point."
"Really...?" Myles smirked. "And just what did you two get up to, to make yourselves so tired?"
"Nothing" Jack stammered turning a deeper shade of red.
"We didn't," Sue argued embarrassed. "Not even a goodnight kiss." She cringed when she realised what she'd just said and Jack looked at her in stunned surprise.
"I mean... I..."
Lucy grinned at her friend. "Did you want him to kiss you goodnight?"
"No... Of course not..." She caught Jack's hurt expression. "Well I... Don't you all have work to do?"
D came to her rescue. "Yes they do but if not, I can find them some."
"Okay, okay..." Bobby raised a hand in surrender and sat down at his desk, the other Agents following suit.
"We need to talk... and soon." Lucy threatened.
Sue sighed and bent over to pet Levi. "Thanks Buddy, some helper dog you are."
Later, after the others had gone to lunch, Jack got up and stood at her desk. "Hungry?" He signed when she looked up.
"I could eat." She started to collect her belongings.
"By the way, you didn't find anything of mine in your suitcase, did you?"
"Why, did you lose something?"
"Yeah, I could have sworn... never mind." He shook his head. "Maybe I'm just going mad. You two ready to go?"
"We're good."

The day had dragged by in a non-ending stream of paperwork and Sue decided on an early night. Not so much because she was tired but more to avoid the barrage of questions she knew she'd be on the receiving end of when Lucy returned from her date.
After treating herself to a luxurious and leisurely bath she returned to her room, took a clean pair of pyjamas out of the drawer and laid them out on the bed then crossed to the dressing table and sat down to brush her hair.
Removing her robe, she picked up the pj top and pants but then changed her mind and put them back where she'd found them. Smiling softly she delved into her now almost-empty suitcase and pulled out Jack's favourite blue shirt, slipping into it before snuggling down in her bed and turning out the light.
