These are going to be unconnected, extremely short drabbles. None will be more than five sentences. My sincere apologies for not updating in awhile: I was working on an exclusive Gray & Cana fanfiction, as well as an update for my Grayza Drabbles. 01. Home
On the rare days that Erza is sitting by herself, she will pause in the middle of her cake to look at her guild. She falters in her sight, wondering, if for the ten whole years she had spent in Fairy Tail, all memories of it were but a dream; but, when Natsu offers a strong hand to her, and Gray ruffles her hair ever so slightly, she realizes , dream or not, that she is home.
02. Nightmares
"Deliora...," the voice chokes through gritted teeth, and Natsu can tell that Gray is immersed in one of his nightmares. Instead of waking him, the Salamander guides his hand towards Gray, and it takes almost all of his willpower to stop from crying as Gray grabs it desperately, his only lifeline to reality.
03. Grave
When Lucy visits her father's grave, she doesn't notice the tears that land on the soil under her, or the wilting flowers in her hands, or the six eyes staring at her. "Why didn't she tell us?" Wendy asks Erza, who in turn grits her teeth. "Sometimes it takes a while to realize that you are no longer alone."
04. Fire
"What was he like?" Gray asks, and Lucy's heart jumped more than it should have. They did not speak about him. Natsu buries his head deeper in his knees. "He was a good dragon," he says (and remembers), "and he was my own."
05. Safe
Cana downs another glass of beer, combing a hand through her hair. Her face is flushed with the effects of drunkenness, and she can barely sit up right. "What are you drinking so much for?" he asks, and he opens his arms for her to scramble into. She places her drink down, breathing in his familiar scent, and knew that in her father's embrace, she would always be safe.
06. Boundaries
Wendy can't help but stare at the three as they scramble into a shower stall, and she laughs. They wouldn't know boundaries if it walked up to them and punched them in the face. Carla asks her what is so funny, because she didn't find any amusement in hearing Natsu and Gray argue over the shower water heat, or Erza reprimanding both loudly, but she doesn't get an answer. And, after a while, she knows she doesn't need one.
07. Second Chance
His eyes widen, and his hands begin to shake, and tears accumulate in the corner of his eyes at his sudden realization. A glance at the old woman told him that, after getting a second chance, he had blown it again.
08. Bodies
Lucy does not immediately regret the harsh reprimand of Gray for secretly following her home. It's only until he is fast asleep in her bed, and she sees the beaten bodies outside of her house, that she understands.
09. Lost and Found
The two stare at her for a second, until Natsu's eyes fill with tears, and as much as he wills his mind to function, it can't. The white haired girl looks at them in surprise as they leap towards her with tears streaming down their faces, and she feigns ignorance. However, she knows, and she hears their silent thoughts. Lisanna, I've finally found you.
10. Deserve
Makarov looks around, to Natsu and Gray's pointless brawls to Lucy and Levy reading in the corner, and he wipes his eyes. He isn't quite sure why. What did I ever do to deserve you?
