Julie: You're going to stand trial for what your people did to this planet.
Diana: Hah! How fair of a trial do you suppose that will be?
Julie: Probably not fair at all, but that doesn't really matter. You represent the evil that was done to us, and your trial will symbolize our victory over that evil. But more than that, you owe us compensation.
Diana: You don't think i'm going to cooperate with you, do you?
Julie: If we can figure out how to work the conversion machine, you may not have a choice.
Diana: Never. It takes years of training, a staff of experts, and a fine artistic touch to perform a conversion.
Julie: Well, at the least, we'll have you to experiment on. And if we damage you in the process, what more fitting punishment could there be for your crimes?

Julie knows that she isn't capable of the evil that Diana inflicts, but she also knows that there's a darkness within that she never would have known of if not for the monster before her. She taps into a little of that darkness now as she pulls the switch.
Diana screams.
The sound horrible, the pitch beyond what any human should have to hear. Julie feels a sickness crawl inside her. She hates that she's capable of this. Diana looks at her with a secret smile. She looks at her like she can loook inside her soul, and see the damage that lives there.
Julie pulls the switch again.
She feels like crying, like screaming. Like this nightmare will never end. She knows what the others would say, the way they already look at her. The judgement, the disappointment behind their eyes.
Diana is staring at her again. Challenging her, pushing her, wanting to break her. Julie wants to scream. She wants to wrap her hands around the lizards throat. She wants to squeeze and see the fear in those inhuman eyes. She wants to break Diana like Diana has broken her, but she has a feeling that will never happen, so she pulls the switch again and watches Diana scream. It'll have to do.
