Author's Note; This little short was inspired by reading heartnut's "Running Into Love" one Saturday morning and having the random thought of what would happen if Usagi didn't run into Mamoru, followed by wondering how it would happen, then it just grew into this.

"Get outta the way, get outta the way, get outta the way!"
He didn't know where the idea came from or why he followed through with it, but at the sound of the familiar voice in panic, he stopped where he was and knit his fingers together in front of him.
For the first time that she could remember, Tsukino Usagi actually saw the man standing in front of her as she ran, "Get out of my way, Mamoru-Baka!"
Instead of doing as told, Mamoru knelt down and held out his knit fingers. Almost instinctively, Usagi placed her foot in the cradle and was lifted into the air as Mamoru stood and spun around. While in midair, Usagi performed a flip with a quarter-twist so that when she landed, she was facing in the proper direction to continue running without needing to pause
As he watched her run, two thoughts passed through Mamoru's head...
'Why did I do that? ...And how did she do that?'
"Tsukino Usagi..." The teacher began to automatically mark her off as late when the blonde burst through the classroom door.
"Present, Sensei!"
Haruna-Sensei stared in shock for a moment, "You're not late?"
"She's not late!" Half the class repeated in shocked unison.
Usagi looked around the room for a moment, "I'm not late?"
"The universe is ended!" One of her classmates announced before passing out from the shock.
As she took her seat, a thought crossed her mind, 'I wonder if Mamo-baka would give me another boost tomorrow...'
