The whole theatre was quiet, not a sound could be heard from the inhabitants of showcase room 2 where the last Avengers movie was going to be played. The culmination of the last 19 movies was going to be seen ending the infinity saga that first started back in 2012 when the chitauri came to New York. Questions were running through moviegoers heads: who is Thanos, what does he want, and finally will he get to do the snap? Everyone in that room came to see one thing and one thing and one thing only, the Avengers' last win however they were in for an unpleasant surprise.

Thanos had managed to get all six stones and had just gotten on to Wakandan soil, for a moment there was a glimmer of hope amongst the masses that turned out to watch the movie. An ax, specifically Stormbreaker, appears out of the corner of the screen and starts flying in the direction of Thanos in a flurry of rainbow-colored fury and vengeance. Thor could be seen pushing the hilt further into Thanos' purple grape body, wine-colored blood gushing out of it like a river. The whole theatre burst forth in a furious uproar cheering on the truly all-powerful God until he spoke.

The words " You should've gone for the head" rang throughout the theatre instantly quieting the audience causing a deafening silence, the image of pain displayed as clear as day on the hero and the audience's faces. He raises his hand and snaps his finger, swirls of grey, blue and purple cloud erupt behind him which he falls back into whilst the thunderous score comes to a peak and ominous aura settles in the air hanging above the watcher's heads.

"Steve?" Bucky calls out in confusion. His arm starts turning to flakes then the rest of his body joins, all the remains of Bucky Barnes left on the ground with his best friend grabbing at them trying to make sense of what happened. Gasps could be heard in the audience as this happened disbelief painted on people's faces, sadness on others. The scene cuts to the battlefield T'challa trying to help a fallen Okoye get up when he too turns to dust, heartbreak on fans' faces as they realize he's gone and so are many other heroes like Sam and Groot. Wanda who had a relieved look on her face passed on with the wind with a relieved look on her face. The scene changes to Titan where the other guardians are beginning to get affected. Mantis, Drax, and Quill all get dusted with varying degrees of horror on their faces. Strange parts with the final words of " there was no other way" much to Tony's confusion.

Much to the audience's horror Peter then begins to say "Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good" causing gasps and shouts of outrage. Tony trying to mask his sorrow says "you're all right" to which Peter stumbles into his arms continuously crying "I don't know what's- I don't know what's happening. I don't- I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go, Mr. Stark, please. Please, I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go..." until he finally fades away leaving an audience in pain with some even crying from the loss of a national treasure.

Back at Wakanda the surviving Avengers are laying in the aftermath crying at the loss of their loved ones. Steve's pained "oh God" reflecting how everyone felt at that moment.

The movie ends on a somber tone which left longtime fans feeling empty some looking for answers, others walking away with slumped shoulders in resignation.

A quiet voice in the back long after the others have left softly cries "well shit".
