The thing about being empty, being alone, is that it's not something you necessarily notice. Or maybe some people do, but Watanuki didn't.
It didn't help that he had to work, clean, cook and try not to get killed by things no but him could see.
Now he can't remember Yuuko, Doumeki, Himawari and the people who went to Yuuko since he started working for her. He doesn't remember his parents or where he lives. That terrifies him because it's like losing part of himself.
But he wakes up in tears because he's sure that soon he'll forget them too.
