i: fye & sakura
"You aren't so sad anymore," Sakura said.

Fye nodded and was about to tell her she shouldn't get up because she still needed to rest when he found himself helping her stand up to pulling her into a hug.

"Don't leave again."

ii: kurogane & syaoran
"You taught him how to fight," Syaoran said, "will you teach me too?"

Kurogane flexed the fingers of his new hand. "You're not him."

Syaoran grabbed both of Kurogane's wrists without his usual awkwardness when dealing with everyone around him, as if he didn't feel he belonged, and said with an intensity that Kurogane was familiar with, "I want to protect Sakura."

iii: sakura, & mokona
"Sakura-chan should never leave again!" Mokona said, burying her face into Sakura's chest. "Mokona was so sad without you."

"I didn't want to," Sakura said as she hugged Mokona. "I won't again. I'll make sure we stay together."

iv: fye & syaoran
"I'm not mad at you," Syaoran said during a rare moment that he and Fye were alone, because some things took time to change. "I - I saw a lot."

"You should be," Fye said and there was an unusual quality in his voice. "But you wouldn't be Syaoran if you were."

I'm not him Syaoran wanted to say but couldn't.

v: clone!syaoran
Syaoran flicked some blood off his hand and held up the newest feather he had taken. Soon, he thought, this will be over.

He wondered if Sakura would smile briefly before jumping to the next world.
