Love Me
Love me now. Do not love him.
He caused the light in your eyes to dim.
He's the reason your smile is broken.
He left you a shattered heart as a token.
I've seen the pain in your eyes when you laugh.
I've seen it and felt my heart tear in half.
Someone like you shouldn't feel such a pain.
He left you to hurt and it drives me insane.
You want to know if he feels pain inside.
I want him to see the tears you can't hide.
He needs to know you love him still
And just can't let him go.
He needs to know of the feelings you have,
The ones you do not show.
You still love him while I love you.
As long as you're happy, then I'm happy too.
You loving him may break my heart,
But seeing you sad tears me apart.
3 years later
Keep loving him, do not love me.
The gleam in your eyes is now easy to see.
Since he's been back, your smiles aren't broken.
