Tifa Lockheart stood among a field of yellow and white flower, such as the ones in the Midgar Church; she wasn't sure where she was or how she got there. The sky was pure white as if she was incased by a ring of fog. Twirling around; she sighed, there was nothing? Nothing, but a field of flowers. Taking a step; Tifa began her way to wherever she could find.
"You came?"
Her blood froze in mid-step; her blood stopped all together, did she just hear a voice of a 'ghost'? Spiraling roughly; her eyes widened, and her hands covered mouth in disbelief. Kneeling in the flowers was a young petite woman, an oversize pink bow tied in her hair, and a basket full of flowers sat at the woman's side. Tifa's hands lowered slowly; she couldn't breath, she couldn't think. So many thoughts ran through her mind, she didn't know what she should say or what she should do.
"Even though you know he is about to break."
Looking down at the flowers, Tifa grabbed her left arm, and played with the small pink ribbon.
"So, why did you come?"
Tifa looked back to the woman in front of her, "Why did I come…here?"
Pushing herself up; the woman slowly turned around, her long braided hair fell into the small curve of her back. Making eye contact with Tifa, she smiled, "That is what I asked, is it not?"
"I don't know…?"
Shaking her head; the woman picked up her flower basket and sighed, "So, how is he?"
Tifa blinked back her tears, "I don't know. He has been avoiding me. I don't even know him anymore."
"He has Geostigma." The woman frowned and picked up a flower. Playing with the petals, she continued, "You and I both know, he won't ask you for help?"
Watching her play with the flower; Tifa sighed, "He'll fight it alone."
"Don't let him."
Looking up to the woman's eyes; Tifa looked at her in shock, "Don't let him?"
Walking up to Tifa, the woman grabbed her wrist, "If you let him fight it alone he will die. But if make him see that he not alone, he will never have to fight it alone."
Images of Cloud flashed through Tifa's mind; her wrist began to burn as if the woman was fire. Looking into the woman's eyes, she saw rage and concern, "Aeri…"
"He needs to let go of my memory."
Tifa knees gave out underneath her and fell to the ground; her sight became blurry, and her hearing faded. Feeling Aeris release her arm; Tifa cried out in pain, and fell into the flowers. Her body became numb; she heard her heart beat pound in her head, "Cloud…"
Kneeling next to her; Aeris smiled, "Make him forgive himself. Make him see I never blamed him. Tell him to choose. Does he want to live in a memory or does he want to live in the present with you?"
"Tifa!"
Her eyes began to close shut, the flowers exploded, releasing a rain of petals.
"Tifa…."
Her world went black.
"…Tifa!"
Feeling someone shake her sleeping form; Tifa began to open her eyes. Seeing who was holding her, she let her head fall to the side, "You're late."
This is my first Final Fantasy 7 story and I know it is not the best but be gentle (I so OC-ed Tifa and Aeris but oh well). Flames are welcomed here, I can handle them. I hope you liked it. I got the idea for it when I ran into my best friends, ex-girlfriend. He still likes her, but she wants him to move on. I think the whole situation is funny but I guess it's because he is sort of stalking her. Anyways thanks for reading.
