Revealing of the Truth
"Bye Mom! See ya soon!" Click
"Good bye Ash." Sigh" If only I could tell you the truth about your father," said Delilah Ketchum as she hung up on the video phone. After fourteen years, she still couldn't tell her only son about how Michael Ketchum disappeared that fateful day…..
Flashback
"Michael, Are you sure it's safe in this old power plant?" asked a much younger Delilah Ketchum.
"Of course it is," said Michael Ketchum.
Michael was about 6"1 with messy jet black hair and two lightning bolt birthmarks under his eyes.
"It's as sturdy as an Onyx," said a very confident Michael as he tapped a steel support beam.
"It better be, for little Ash's sake," said Delilah as she tickled Ash in his tummy, causing a fit of laughter to erupt from the eight month infant.
"What could go wrong?" asked a confident Michael.
As if on cue, the three heard a faint but definite BOOM come from deep within the building.
"Oh my!" said a surprised Delilah as Ash started to cry.
"Wait, is that a..." the realization hit Michael like a freight train. Heading straight towards them was an enormous column of fire. Quickly, Michael grabbed Delilah's free hand and started running from the wall of flames to the exit.
"Come on we can make it!" Michael said through gritted teeth.
After only a few seconds of running, Michael saw that the exit was too far away. By the time they got there, they would be ashes. So Michael chose the second option. Sacrificing the chance to see his little Ash grow, with all his strength, he heaved Delilah and Ash through the exit. Just before he was incinerated, he whispered a short farewell to his wife and only son. "I'm sorry I couldn't save us all, but I hope you to live as long as you can before you join me. Goodbye."
Delilah could only watch as her husband was caught in the blazing inferno that used to be a power plant.
"MMMIIIICCCCHHHHHAAAEEEELLLL!" screamed a horrified Delilah.
"Dada" whispered an oblivious Ash for his "dada" could never congratulate his son for his first accomplishment.
As the flashback ends Delilah once again starts crying for the one she lost on that horrific day.
But Delilah during her flashback had missed one thing from the picture. On the other side of the power plant five men started piling into a helicopter. All of the men and the helicopter had a familiar red "R" on their surface or uniform.
"All charges set. Detonating...now!"said one of the men.
A massive explosion rocked the helicopter as it started to take off.
"Power plant generators destroyed, mission complete sir." said the same man.
"Excellent, return to base ...NOW!" said a man in an orange suit through the communicater.
"Yes sir Mr. Giovanni SIR!" replied all five men at once, leaving behind their deed of destuction.
