Sharpay is not popular in this story. She lives next door to Troy who treats her more as a friend who he hardly notices most the time.

Diary entry #25 31st March

I hate how you like her.

I hate how you are so popular.

I hate how all the girls like you.

I hate how you treat me like a kid.

I hate that nick name you gave me, Paypay,

I hate how you have to flirt with every girl.

I hate that you actually got your girl.

I hate everything about you.

but of course. That's just a lie. Made up to hide and replace my love for you.

Have you ever wondered why I always talk to you each time I get a chance? Or when I walk past you to grab your attention? Or spray perfume every time I come near you so you remember my scent? Its just a game to you though, isn't it? Of course! You would never like me. Sharpay Evans invisible girl. Never gets a date or any form of a social life. I would never compare to those girls with there perfect shiny hair with face plastered with make-up. Even if I live right next door to you I still have the lower hand in this! Its as if they had climbed onto that leaf, began spinning their cocoons ended up as a beautiful butterfly that everyone watches. And me, a caterpillar which everyone looks at disgusted.

You know what? I give up!

After all in reality the unwanted girl never gets the popular jock. And I'm never going to get get you... Even if I do love you Troy.

"Hey Paypay! Whacha doing there? Writing in that diary of yours?" Troy interrupted walking in the room.

"What?! No! Yeah." Sharpay quickly closed her diary. "Nothing important."

"Okay, wanna shout some hoops?"

"Sure." Troy waited until Sharpay had left the room and opened the newly written diary entry. He skimmed through the text. When he finished a smiled appeared on his face.

"Hey Pay! Wait up!" Troy yelled running out the room.

He left the room and left on the bed was Sharpay's Diary left wide open and written at the bottom was Troy's boyish handwriting.

Never give up.
