Chapter one-
Amber lifted her eye mask off of her face noticing the boxes around her room right away. She always knew when there was something out or order. This something was big. Amber let out a big scream making her mother run to the room, her eyes big in fright. "WHAT- IS -THIS!" Amber said choking on her words. It wouldn't be something bad right? Her mom could just be doing some cleaning. She kept thinking of positive things although she knew what was really happening, but it couldn't be true. She was about to enter freshman year at the height of her popularity! She the alpha couldn't be moving. Everyone would be so lost without her.
"Sweetie, dad got a call last night, his work has promoted him! Were moving to New york!" Her mother smiled as she said this as if it was a good thing.
"Mom, your kidding right? Is this all some kind of joke?"
"Well, no. I know you wont want to move and that you will miss all your friends but you can make new ones! And you will be living in New York!"
Amber huffed flipping her long black hair out of her face and stormed out of the room. Why would her parents do this? Are they idiots? Its like they have never been fourteen. Gawd! She went to her bathroom sink and started brushing her teeth angrily glaring into the mirror. Once her normal morning routine was done and her hair was just how she wanted it she grabbed her purse, slipped on her gladiators and ordered her friends to meet her at pinkberry (their local hangout) right away.
Amber furiously texted away on her phone sipping her strawberry kiwi smoothie waiting until her friends arrived so she could take her anger out on them. First came her loyal beta Veronica. Veronica had gorgeous long flowing orange hair and bright blue eyes making her the perfect beta. Amber got up elegantly walking over to Veronica and smiling dimly. Then came her other two twin friends Alyson and Jessica, who were both strawberry blonde with dancer figures and big hazel eyes. They both came running over as if they already knew there was bad news. "Hey guys, I have to tell you all something." Amber started
"What is it?" Replied the twins together sliding into the chairs across from Amber and Veronica.
"Well," Amber drastically said slowly.
"My parent are moving." The other three girls mouths fell open and their eyes got bigger.
"Aw-My-GAWD!" The three girls shouted this all at once and started making complaints about her parents leaving her here. Veronica started asking questions about where she would stay. The twins offered to let her stay with them if she already didn't have a place to stay yet. Amber started cracking up at this.
"You losers, I am not staying here! I'm going too! But, since I will not be there, Vee, is officially the new alpha and you will all need to find a new person"
"WHAT?! Fine but you have to promise to keep in touch with us! Pinkie promise!" The twins, Vee, and amber all locked fingers and promised on all their hearts to remain together until Amber could force her parents to come back to her sweet little Malibu. She parted her friends sadly and walked home to pack.
