Chapter 1
A/N I have a good idea about where I want this to go, but in keeping with my problematic short term plot block, I can always use advice, so reviews are highly valued and appreciated. (Is that saying the same thing twice?)
"Yes...yes...yes, okay thanks officer!" Cisco put the phone down calmly and then relayed the information to Barry Allen. "The precinct says that the body we found isn't Harrison Wells. The last few tests have shown that body was Tess Morgan and had Well's DNA plastered on, some sort of hologram of DNA substance. Harrison Wells is still alive!" Cisco was practically jumping up and down in excitement, Barry was just standing there with a confused expression on his face.
"So wait. Dr. Wells is still alive, but we don't know where he is? How is that possible?"
Cisco nodded enthusiastically. He'd hoped Barry would be happy about this,but of course, he was right to be skeptical. They had been fooled before. Cisco had work to get done in the lab. He walked past Barry and slapped him on the shoulder.
"I just told you how it was possible! Where you not listening?" He joked. Barry didn't move an inch.
In a remote underground facility, a man is staring at security footage of the accident. He knows that it can solve the issue, if shown at the right time. But to have it put into the wrong hands would be disastrous. Tess wasn't the only one who had been a victim and she certainly wasn't the last.
Eobard Thawne is a dangerous man, this Harrison knows very well. But that man is also impersonating him. For now, the world needs to believe that he's dead. Thawne, as Wells, is unstoppable. He has both money and influence. If he were to give this to the wrong people, it would get back to Thawne and then Thawne would kill him for real. But if he gave to the right people at the wrong time, they'd have no reason to believe that he wasn't the imposter. And, since Thawne was better at evading the law, they had no way to catch him, so it'd be easier to lock Harrison up, giving Thawne a fairly clear playing field. No. This footage must be shown at the right time to right people in order to convict him for Tess's murder.
Harrison's eyes filled with tears as he mulled over his part in the matter. He'd known that Thawne might be dangerous. Because there are three speedsters. And he's the other. He could've prevented what had happened. Could've saved her. Oh well. Now, it was about saving the other people in Thawne's way. Barry Allen and Cisco Ramone were on the top of that list. And neither of them should die. At least not until more friendly Metahumans could be found.
