Renkotsu sighed as he tossed and turned in his bed. He could not sleep that night and he knew exactly why.
Getting up of the bed, Renkotsu slid open his door, hoping not to wake anyone. When he seen the coast was clear, he closed back his door and walked down the long and dark porch.
Sitting down on the stairs, he began to think to himself. "I know I love him but I wish I could tell him."
The fire breather thought back to the first time he met the doctor. He would never forget it.
"Men, this is Renkotsu and Ginkotsu, they shall be traveling with us from now on." Bankotsu shouted to his other men.
Looking at the young doctor, Renkotsu felt his heart skip a beat the first time he seen him. In exchange, Suikotsu looked at him and gave him a smile.
"That is when it all began." Renkotsu thought to himself as he continued to look up at the night sky. Just then, a familiar voice startled him.
"Ren? What are you doing out here this late at night?"
Taking a deep breath, Renkotsu turned around to see Suikotsu standing there in his night clothes. His face was lit up by the bright moonlight.
"I just could not sleep is all" Renkotsu grunted.
Nodding, Suikotsu sat down next to him and looked up at the sky as well.
"This is it Ren, it's now or never"
"Sui?"
"Yes Ren? What is it?" The older man said as he looked at the younger man.
"This..." Renkotsu gently grabbed Suikotsu's face and locked his lips in a luscious kiss. It seemed like forever when Renkotsu pulled back, both of them panting.
"I love you Sui." Renkotsu said. "I love my doctor."
Chuckling a bit, Suikotsu said," I love my fire breather."
Renkotsu felt his heart skip a beat as he replied," You love me too?"
"I have loved you ever since we met." The doctor replied.
Smiling, Renkotsu said," Let's go inside."
Taking the hint, Suikotsu nodded and together the couple stood up and walked into the house, with a mission to accomplish.
It did not matter what the future brought them, they had each other and that was the most important thing in the world.
