I walk into Roy's office and sit on his stack of paper work.
"Your in the way, Ella," he says coldly.
"Why are you always so mean to me?" I ask and cross my arms, pouting.
"Because you're always in the way."
I jump off the pile of papers. "I just think that you should take a break from work sometimes."
He looks at me in the eyes. "If I wanted to take time off with you I'd ask you, but I don't want a break from this paper work, I want to take a break from you!"
I start to cry. "Ya know what? This is the last time I ever try to ever cheer you up! I just thought it would be nice to take a break from writing down stuff all the time! But now I see how it is, you don't like me, fine. See if I care!" I run out of the room, tears steaming out of my face.
I storm into the room, startling Al.
"Al, I told you he doesn't like me!" I say and colapse to the floor.
Al rushes to my side and wraps his metal arms around me. "I'm sure he does, did you try sitting on his papers with your legs crossed?"
"Yeah!"
"You aren't wearing your skirt though. I told you for him to notice you, you have to wear the skirt."
"But I don't wanna be noticed for that, I want him to like me, not just my body!"
"Calm down, Ella."
"You're right, I should calm down, I'm sorry I flipped out on you."
"It's okay, but I just thought of something that may get him to miss you, if you're interested, that is."
I nodded my head.
"Ignore him. Don't talk to him, it'll work, promise."
Three weeks of not talking to Roy later...
"Ella, Roy wants to see you." Al says as he walks into the room.
I raise my head from my pillow. "Since when does he want to see me?"
"Since now, he was looking for you, said you wouldn't answer the door when he was banging on it."
"I was probably in the shower, but why doesn it matter to him? It's not like I'm important to him anyways."
Al picks me up and carries me to Roy's office.
"Put me down!" I yell.
"No."
"Al, if you don't put me down right now I will not talk to you ever again!" I yell as I kick the air.
Al drops me on the floor, I land right infront of Roy.
I start to cry. "Al..that..hurt..."
"I'm sorry but you needed to talk to him."
"But you didn't have to drop me! That hurt so bad!"
"Can you stand?" Roy asks.
I stand up and start to limp away. "I'm fine. I'm going back to the room."
I hear Roy sigh and then he walked towards me.
"Come on," he said as he picked me up.
"Sorry but I don't want to be in your way," I say angrilly, then kick myself out of him arms. "I said I'm fine, so don't lay another hand on me. Ever." I start to walk away.
"Ella..." I hear Al say.
"Al, you don't have to come with me, you can stay."
Al starts following me. "I'll go with you, I can pick you up if you want.."
"If I needed to be picked up I wouldn't be much of an alchemist, now would I?" I look back and smile at Al.
"But sometimes people-"
"Al, I'm fine."
"Okay."
"Wait!" Roy yells.
"No." I say.
"Al, stop her!"
"Sorry but, It's in everyone's interest if she isn't touched."
I stop walking and turn around. I walk towards Roy, holding my tears back.
"No. I refuse to ever speak to you after this. You said you didn't like me, that I was in the way, so now, you get what you want. I'm leaving, from this day forth I will never talk to you." I say.
I press my lips up against his for a short amount of time then turn to walk away. "Goodbye," I say, "Forever."
END.
