Summery: There was a reason Justin always said no to Harper.
We sit in class barely paying attention to the teacher. I absent-mindedly doodle on my notebook page as I feel a nudge on my arm. I quickly glance behind me and you're sitting there doing the teacher being eaten by an alien. I smile as I grab the note you had slipped under my arm.
I can't wait for 2nite :)
I scribble a response and pass it back when the teacher wasn't looking.
Neither can I. Did you decide on a movie yet?
A moment later the paper is back under my arm.
Nah I just figured we can decide when we get there.
The bell rings and the students around us stand up and dash out of the room before the teacher can finish wishing us a safe weekend. I take my time, waiting for you to finish gathering your things. You glance at me and smile. God, I love that smile.
"You ready?" You ask me, slinging your book bag over your shoulder. I nod and do the same. We walk out of the classroom and out of the school. We walk back to my house and we talk like we always have, the only difference is there are a lot more smiles and flirting. We stop outside of my family's sub shop and you freeze.
"What's wrong?" I ask, slight worry filling my voice. You're staring into the shop and I follow your gaze. SHE'S in there, more than likely waiting for me to get home. I sigh and shake my head. "We have to go in there to drop off our things." You look down at your feet.
"I know," You whisper "I just don't like how she's IN LOVE with you and won't stop hanging all over you. You're mine now." You smile at me and briefly grab my hand. I smile back at you.
"I know. Just ignore her, that's what I do." We walk inside and almost instantly she was at my side.
"Justin!" She screamed, jumping up and down. "I made you an 'I love Harper' t-shirt to match my 'I love Justin' t-shirt!" She smiled and handed me a hot pink t-shirt with her face on it saying 'I Love Harper'" I glance at you and your face is bright red from anger. I give the shirt back to Harper.
"Harper, I don't love you. I never will. Get that through your head." I nod my head towards the spiral staircase and we walk upstairs before Harper has a chance to react to how hurtful I just acted towards her. My apartment is completely empty. I drop my book bag down by the front door and you follow suit. I glance around to make sure no one is around and I steal a kiss from you. I wrap my arms around you in a loving embrace and you run your fingers through my hair. We break apart and smile at each other.
"I love you Justin." You say to me.
"I love you too Zeke." I steal another quick kiss and we walk out the front door. Alex walked down the stairs, not wanting to interrupt Justin and Zeke. She smiled to herself.
"It's about time. I'm so getting my $20 off of Max." She said as she scampered off to tell Max.
