The Coronicus Chronicles
When I was born my parents gave me the name Coronicus. Coronicus was kind of a long name so every one called me Coro. My parents went by the names of Faythe and Merc. I grew up like most kids did except my parents weren't always home. I spent a lot of time with my mom's friend Celest. My mom just called her Cell. When I was 4 I asked Cell why she doesn't work like my parents did. She said she quit her old job so she could help my parents out with me. It never really bothered me that my parents weren't always there it's just the way it was.
On my 13th birthday my parents pulled me aside after the everybody went home from the party. My mother looked at me and began talking.
"Coro, there's something we have to tell you."
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"We want to tell you about our job." My dad said.
I looked at them both. I never really knew what they did for a living. Every time I would ask them they would always change the subject. "What do you do" I asked.
"We are Runners." My mom said slowly to me.
