Warning: Character death, suicide

They say time heals our wounds.

To him, it was nothing more than a device to lengthen his sorrows.

.

The happiness he had once known had become nothing more than old memories to which he desperately tried to cling.

The most important part of his being had been ripped away and all that was left were pieces of his shattered heart.

.

He still couldn't forgive himself, for not being there when it happened.

For not being there, to hold his dearest as everything turned dark.

Since that day, an ice cold grip took hold of his very existence.

.

It had been long, too long, since he last saw those blue crystals.

He couldn't live without his love, for his love had been his heart.

.

Every breath he took brought him deeper into despair,

The days that went by had become cold and lifeless.

.

He couldn't wait till the moment he could be reunited with his beloved.

The broken figure longed for the warm embraces that were no more,

The soft kisses that they always shared each day are no longer given.

The sweet laughter in the now lonely apartment had long disappeared,

The beautiful melody of singing made way for a deafening silence.

.

As he laid down in the feathers, he felt a slash of pain.

But by far, it couldn't compare to the agony that he had to endure every day.

.

He turned towards the windows that showed the blue sky,

The same blue that he had, and still, loved.

.

The liquid that slipped through his fingers were the same colour as his hair that was splayed around his head.

His body turned white that made a contrast against the crimson.

.

The stream that flowed towards his broken heart went slower with each beat,

The sun that shone through the glass, landed upon his face in an attempt to warm his cold-growing body .

.

As the last sand fell, he finally saw his angel.

He grasped the hand that had always been smaller than his,

With his last breath he called out to his love with whom he would be reunited once again,

Roxas
