Okay, so this was a random idea that came into my mind a few days ago and with both the Blue-Ray release and Oscar win of "Big Hero 6", I figured it was as good a time as any to do this little idea before publishing my next big story.
It's not much, just the four Disney single ladies hanging out in a bar. Nothing more and nothing less, but I'll hope you will enjoy it regardless!
After a successful run in theaters around the world, the anticipation was finally over as Disney's latest movie, "Big Hero 6", was just released on Blue-Ray.
In typical Disney fashion, whenever a movie is being released on home media, there is a party being held at the Disney headquarters to celebrate the occasion with the characters of said movie being the guests of honor.
Seeing how the movie was a big hit at the box office, its home video release was no exception to the rule and with the movie's recent win at the Oscars, there were even more reasons to celebrate at the House of Mouse, the usual met-up place for all the Disney characters and prime location to all home media parties.
The party was at full swing when the actual characters of "Big Hero 6" showed up at the club. A lot of characters, both old and new, were already there and were either dancing, eating, talking with each other, watching a repeat of the Oscar announcement, and overall having a good time.
When the characters entered, it didn't take long for everyone present to notice their arrival, especially when Mickey Mouse himself, directed the attention of everyone to their entrance. "Look, everybody!" The black mouse with the red pants and giant yellow shoes said from the center stage via a microphone. "Our new winners have arrived!"
Everyone cheered as the team stepped more and more into the club, some of them smiling nervously at all the attention directed at them while others were smiling out of pride for their product. They were all wearing their regular cloths, as that's how they appeared in most of the movie and throughout marketing materials.
The group was having a good time, talking to the various characters which originated from the same studio they belonged to, busting some moves on the dance floor, getting Wasabi to start a stand-up show on the club stage and overall enjoying the party that was set for them.
Halfway through the event, Honey Lemon, the tall blonde girl of the group felt thirst consume her throat and she needed to drink something in order to calm it down. When she thought about heading towards the bar, she turned to the other female in the "Big Hero 6" group, her best friend Go-Go Tomago.
"Hey, Go-Go? I'm going to get a drink at the bar. Want to join me?" She asked over the music which played loudly.
"Sure. Let's go." Go-Go answered before letting the others know that they were at the bar in case they needed them.
The girls reached the bar and took two of the seats facing the counter. It was un-usually empty compared to other nights at the "House of the Mouse", but the girls never objected to the idea of some quit and time to just themselves.
After positioning the spinning chairs, the female bartender greeted their arrival and asked them what they wanted to drink. After the girls greeted her back and were about to answer the question, they saw that it was none other than Princess Merida from the movie "Brave".
"Oh, my gosh!" Honey Lemon said excitedly. "You're Merida! I really liked your movie!" She said while shaking the wild red-head's hand.
"Yeah, it was pretty good." Go-Go voiced her own opinion while also shaking Merida's hand, but not as wildly as her friend. "It was refreshing to see a cool female lead with no love interest in a Disney movie."
"Thank ye bath." Merida replied cheerfully to the complements. "Ah liked yer mavie a lat as well. Cangrats an the ascar win, by the way!" She told the two girls and both thanked her themselves before she proceeded to take their orders.
"I just want a bottle of water." Honey Lemon asked politely as Merida wrote down the order.
"I want whatever kind of sweet juice you have here." Go-Go said.
"Haw aboot Apple juice?" Merida offered and the other girl shrugged.
"Sure. I'll try it."
"Caming right up!" The red-head said before she went to get the girls their drinks.
As they waited for their order to arrive, another voice greeted them from a nearby sit. "Hey there." The voice said, sounding really familiar to both Honey and Go-Go. When they turned their heads in the direction of the voice, they found out that sitting next to them was non-other than Queen Elsa herself, from the mega hit "Frozen".
The queen's name precedes her and she had no need to introduce herself, as she was already recognized by the two girls.
"Holy… You're Elsa!" Honey called again, this time being even more excited with the figure that she had met. "I loved your movie! I loved your song too!" She said, showing Elsa's hand no mercy while she shook it.
The platinum blonde giggled nervously at Honey's reaction. "Why thank you." She answered softly. "I enjoyed your movie quite a lot as well. Congratulations on the Oscar, by the way!"
"Thank you." Go-Go said from behind Honey Lemon. "I liked your movie as well, and I'm usually not into musicals."
"It must have been hard for you to be a part of Disney then." Elsa giggled and Go-Go surprisingly joined in.
"As long as I'm not singing, I'm good." She replied before Honey pulled out her phone.
"Hello, Chris? It's Honey. Listen, if we are doing a sequel, we are letting Go-Go sing a balled." She mockingly talked to her phone, earning more giggles from both girls sitting next to her before addressing the queen. "Say Elsa, not that I'm complaining, but what are you doing here with us in stand of hanging out with the characters from your movie?"
"I came here to get a drink and I saw you, so thought I will congratulate you and welcome you to our big Disney family." The snow queen explained. "I was in the same situation as you last year, along with Anna and the rest, so I thought chatting with you won't hurt." She answered politely.
"Thanks for the consideration." Go-Go told her. "It's good to see the hype didn't really go to your head."
Elsa huffed with a small giggle. "The fact we got lucky? Not really… Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of the movie, but a lot of the time, success can also be pure luck."
Just then, Merida returned with the drinks that Honey and Go-Go ordered. "Hey, Elsa." The red-head said to her blonde friend.
"Hey, Merida. How's the business?" Elsa asked while hugging Merida from behind the counter.
"Ah, ye knaw… serving Ascar winners." She replied while pointing to Honey, who slightly blushed, and Go-Go, who seemed impressed with the drink that she ordered.
"Third win for us in a row, if we really think about it…" Elsa suddenly realized. "In 2012 it was Merida, last year it was us, and this year it was you guys."
"I have to ask you something, Merida…" Go-Go suddenly said. "You're technically a Pixar character, how come you're considered a Disney character and work at the "House of the Mouse" bar?"
"Well, since Disney awns Pixar, ah am kind af in the grey filed; like the ather Pixar guys or any of the Marvel ar "Star Wars" characters." She explained. "The resan ah wark here, is because ah am nat a full Disney."
"And how it's like working here?" Honey asked.
"It's alright, depends an the night…" Merida said before sighing hard. "The party last week, when it was annanced that Spider-Man is caming back ta Marvel, left me dead tired."
"Anna and I had to drag her back home." Elsa said with a small smile as she remembered the event.
"Wait," Honey suddenly realized. "We are technically Marvel characters, does that mean we will have to get a job here as well?"
"I don't think so." Elsa told her. "The movie changed a lot from the original comics which it was based on, so much so it's pretty much its own thing." She explained. "Kind of like what my movie did with the original "Snow Queen" story.
"Oh, I wouldn't have minded working at the bar." Go-Go admitted.
"Ah wauldn't have minded a helper." Merida added with a small chuckle.
The four girls continued to talk for a long time as they discussed several topics like how production on their films went, how nervous they were when the film was first released and so on and so forth.
At one point, Honey asked Elsa and Merida how they became the great friends they seemed to be.
"Well, when you are the only two Disney Princesses with no love interest…" Elsa started.
"Yer bauned ta talk ta each ather and get aloong great." Merida continued before adding. "And it alsa seemed like we were the anly Disney girls with na lave interest."
"Well, make that four." Go-Go said. "It looks like Honey and I are joining your group."
"Yay!" Honey added after the announcement.
"Unless they will make a sequel and make ane af ye fall in lave with Hiro." Merida joked, earning a chuckle from Elsa, who covered her mouth.
"I heard a lot of people are already doing that online." Honey said quietly with a nervous blush. "They call it "shipping"."
"I saw a lot of people wanting Go-Go to be with him." Elsa pointed out, causing the shorter girl to blush.
"All because af that hug near the end af the mavie ah presume." Merida guessed.
"I know Hiro is a few years younger than us and everything, but with Go-Go's height, it might work for them." Honey dared a joke on her cool best friend, causing Elsa and Merida to laugh.
Go-Go, still blushing from the jokes being made on her expanse, came out with a comeback. "At the very least, I'm shipped with someone from the same movie as me. You two…" She pointed to Elsa and Merida. "are being paired with guys from a different studio."
The platinum blonde and the red-head quickly stopped laughing, as they both realized what Go-Go was talking about.
"You especially," She suddenly said to Merida. "are paired with the hero of the movie who stole our Golden Globe and almost stole our Oscar." The comment was delivered in a joking manner, causing all the four girls to laugh.
"Yer right, ah almast fargat. Like haw ye fargat yer friend, Fred, was vaised by a guy from that mavie." Merida countered, initiating more laughter, even a bit from Go-Go herself. "And let's nat mention that in same internatianel dub of yer mavie, yer vaiced by the girl twin fram that mavie."
"Are you serious!?" Go-Go asked her shocked, while Honey and Elsa were at the verge of more laughing.
"Ah am always seriaus…" Merida whispered and for a few seconds, there was silence between the four single Disney girls, which was soon replaced with more laughter and talking about other various topics.
Eventually, the party was about to end and the many characters were already starting to leave the club. Before the girls could have said good-bye to each other, Hiro came up to them with a camera.
"Hey, girls." He said to his two friends from the movie, while also noticing Elsa and Merida talking to them. "And hello Merida, hello Elsa, it's an honor meeting you."
"Same here, Hiro." Elsa told him with a smile and Merida nodded at him.
"Anyway," The boy with the black hair took the camera he had around his neck in his hands. "I'm taking some pictures from tonight as something to remember; can the four of you pose for a picture?"
After he asked the question, the four girls looked at each other and nodded their heads before they organized in poses for the picture. Merida leaned against the bar, Elsa was on her right in front of the bar and looking as elegant as she could, Honey Lemon was also in front of the bar but from Merida's left side and she gave the camera two finger V's, Go-Go crouched down between Elsa and Honey and she managed to pop the gum she was chewing just as Hiro took the picture.
"Alright! That's a really great picture." He told them as he showed it to them, and they all seemed to agree.
Eventually, the party ended and all the characters started leaving the club. Honey and Go-Go left with their cast, Elsa left with hers and Merida stayed in the bar for a few more minutes in order to close down for the night.
The one thing that was common for all four of them that night was that all of them had a great time with each other; and they had hoped they could hang out together again in the future.
THE END
So, that was it. Nothing all that new, nothing all that special, but I think it turned out fine enough.
To those who wonder, in the local dub version of "Big Hero 6", Go-Go is in fact voiced by the same voice actress who voices Ruffnut in the "Dragons" TV show(But not the movies...). Somehow that little fun fact had managed to fit itself in this story.
The picture Hiro took at the end is actually the cover picture for this story. I edited it out before I finished writing this and it turned out really well in my opinion that I wrote it in.
Thank you for reading, and please leave a review if you got something to say!
