Bury The Castle
"Eleanor!" He called to her, before running towards her figure, which was walking away from him. "Eleanor wait!" He called again.
The blonde reluctantly turned around to face him, stopping him in his tracks., "What do you want, Simon?" She asked angrily. The gray sky started to drizzle. The couple didn't give a care. It was silent for a moment before the young boy answered truthfully, "You, Eleanor. I want you."
The rain picked up, but the two stayed oblivious. Upon hearing this, Eleanor almost let out a sob of longing, but she held herself together.
"You had me, Simon..." Her soft, small voice replied, "but I guess I wasn't enough." His heart sank, and all Simon wanted to do now was hold her, comfort her, but if he attempted to do so, he know she would push him away.
"Your more than enough." She gazed at him accusingly, her brown eyes boring into his brown eyes. He felt a feeling of shame creep up on him.
"I don't think I am. Since you went and kissed whats-her-face." Her voice trembled a bit, but Eleanor stayed strong. Simon felt tears flood his eyes. He couldn't hold it in any longer, "It..it was a mistake."
"Sure it was." She began to walk away from him once again, but he caught her arm and held her in place.
"Eleanor, honestly, I'm not lying to you." By now, they were almost soaked from the downpouring precipitation but they never thought anything of it. "Tell me one thing.. and I'll believe you..."
"Anything."
A pained look hit her face but she continued on. "When you kissed her... did you think of me?" Simon cringed. He knew the truth, but didn't want to say. He also knew, that if he tried to lie to her, it wouldn't work, and he'd be filled with guilt.
"...No." He breathed, his fists clenching in regret of the mistake he made a few days earlier.
Eleanor shook her head in disbelief and silent rage and started to leave. A tear softly rolled down his cheek and fell with the rain. He gently grasped her waist and kept both of them in the same position.
"She was nothing close to you." He whispered into her ear. "Her lips weren't as sweet and soft as yours." This statement made her close her eyes. She shivered, from the rain and from the feel of his warm breath upon her neck. He wrapped his arms around her gently to keep her heated. "Her kiss wasn't as passionate, or as meaningful as all of the ones we've shared. She didn't give me the feeling that you always give me everytime I look at you. The feeling that I was where I needed to be. For the rest of my life and for that simple moment. When I looked at her, her eyes didn't sparkle the way yours do. Her skin against mine didn't make me tingle. Everything happens when your around. And with her, I felt nothing. She makes me feel one emotion: adoration."
Eleanor glanced at her feet, both touched by his speech and confused. "But you..." He continued, "You make me feel a million, all at once."
Her face broke out into a smile, and she shyly bit her lip. "I get scared, because I don't know how long we'll be together, I get upset, because we argue over such stupid things, I get frustrated, because all these other guys can easily take you away from me." Simon paused, and the rain slowed. She slowly turned around to face him.
"I get excited, because I know I'm the luckiest guy alive. I get lovestruck, when I take one glance into your eyes. & I get hypnotized, when I kiss you. I --" Eleanor ran her fingers through his hair. She slightly pulled him down to meet his lips in a tender embrace. When the couple pulled away, the rain had completely stopped and the sun was beginning to emerge from behind the clouds.
"I forgive you, Simon." Eleanor smiled. Simon grinned, and hugged her in victory. When he set her down, his grin turned into a smirk.
"Now lets go and dry off."
