Chapter 1

Lucy's P.O.V

Hi, my name is Lucy Heartfillia. I live with my mom, dad and best friend Natsu. Natsu lives with me because his parents died in a tragic incident. His dad said that he would live with his god family before he died. His god family just happened to be my family. I've known Natsu since we were kids; you could say that we were childhood friends.

Natsu is a sickly boy and can get ill easily. He always comes down with the flu, colds and faints a lot. The doctor says that he collapses because of starvation, which my parents and I don't understand because he eats perfectly fine. I just can't help but worry about him.

It was a normal day and Natsu and I were getting ready for school. He always hated mornings so it took him a while before he was fully awake. After breakfast we headed for school. On the way we met Erza, Mira and Lissana. They were just three people from our 'little gang'.

We go to Fairy Tail High; it's a school for gifted and talented students. Everyone thinks that it's really hard to get through the entry exam, but it's not that bad

Natsu and I are known pretty well around the school. Natsu was the shyest person in the school, all the girls the think that he is really cute and fight over him. They try to ask him out but always end up having a nose bleed when he blushes in front of them. You've got to admit though he does have a really cute smile and blushing face. I was known because of my good looks. All the boys would ask me out once in a while, but i would turn them down there was someone else I liked...

When we got to class we were greeted by Gray, Juvia, Loke and Jellal.

"Hey guys!" I said, walking over to the group at the side of the classroom.

" Are you sure Natsu's gonna be okay coming to school, I mean he just recovered from another fever again, right?" Loke asked worry covering his features. Natsu and I sw that look quite alot since everyone would worry about him and all. I glanced over at Natsu then turned to the group and nodded.

"Alright, if you say so..." Lissana said ,slightly unsure.

"Gray, I don't want you and Natsu to be fighting, not until Natsu's completely recovered." Erza ordered not even looking at Gray, who for some reason had his...shirt...off.

"Come on, you can't seriously exp-Nnngh!" Gray spat out in surprise as Erza gave him one of her 'hurt-him-and-you-die' glares.

"Ok, ok. Anyway you guys might want to start getting ready for class'cause the teacher's here." Gray said, gesturing to the door where a short blue cat walked in.

"Good morning, class. Please stand, bow, aye!" Happy sensei said. Yes our teacher is a talking, blue cat...there is no real reason. We opened our text books and started the lesson

After school, Natsu and I headed home. We had to help my mom get dinner ready for a client from dads job.

"Hey Luce, wanna order a pizza later?" Natsu asked as he placed the cutlery down on the table.

"Sure, just as long as your buying!" I laughed.

We were done getting the table set and went to my room to order the pizza.

I walked up the stairs after Natsu because I was talking to my mom. As I opened the door to my room I saw Natsu standing in the middle of the room, slightly swaying from side to side. He collapsed into a heap on the floor.

"Natsu! Natsu!" I gasped, running towards him. I placed the palm of my hand on his forehead and immediately yanked it back. His fever was back.

*gasp* Oh no Natsu, what hs happened to our favourite dragon slayer? I hope you guys like this first chapter. Please review and fave.
