"Finally!" Mario exclaimed as he, Dreamy Luigi, and Princess Peach reached the ends of Dreamy Driftwood Shore. He turned to Peach. "You should be safe here."

They all looked around – the area didn't look too different from the previous areas, except that this one was completely devoid of enemies and traps. "We should rest," Mario said, satisfied.

"Good idea, bro!" Dreamy Luigi exclaimed as he plopped onto his stomach, exhausted. "I'm tired! Especially after those Seadring siblings…"

Mario winced – all three of Seadric's siblings had been REALLY annoying. "Let's not talk about them…" He wandered over to Peach. "How're you feeling?"

"I'm fine! This area is nice and quiet and empty, so I should be safe here." She looked over at Mario and Dreamy Luigi. "Thank you both for bringing me here. It was really nice of you to – "

Just then, the pink pipe they had emerged out of, and the other pipe that led back to the entrance, boarded up shut. Mario, who had just sat down, leapt to his feet; Dreamy Luigi did the same.

"W-what? What's going on here?" Mario said, shocked. "Is this a trap?"

"Someone must have followed us in, bro! But who?" Dreamy Luigi wondered.

"Hahahaha…"

"Eh?" Mario looked over at the princess. For some reason, she was giggling madly. "Why are you laughing?"

"Heeheehee…You STILL don't get it, do you?"

"Get what?"

"SURPRISE!" Suddenly Peach's top half of her body changed…into Kamek!

"WAH!" Dreamy Luigi screamed, hiding behind his older brother, who was shocked.

"KAMEK?! What are you doing here? Where's Peach?"

Kamek cackled madly. "You fools! I LURED you here! All those monsters that attacked…they were mine! My impersonation of the princess was flawless! And, incidentally," he added, smiling evilly, "your little Peachy girl isn't here! We kidnapped her a long time ago!"

"OH NO!" Dreamy Luigi cried, fainting cold. Mario, however, frowned.

"What? Sad your girlfriend isn't here anymore?" Kamek taunted. "Well, too bad! Deal with it!"

Mario muttered something.

"Hmmm? What's that? You think I just wanted to wear this dress?"

Mario nodded.

"…Actually, it IS quite nice. It's very comfy and foofy…" Kamek blushed as he did a little dance with the remaining half of the pink dress. "My blue robes are SO drab to wear all the time – YEOUCH!" Mario had just tackled him head-on. "You JERK! You'll pay for that! Oh, I won't fight you," he added as Mario and Dreamy Luigi (who had regained consciousness) took their battle stances. "I don't have time for you. But these guys do! COME ON OUT, BOYS!"

And he pulled off the rest of the dress, revealing the Elite Trio. Dreamy Luigi fainted again; Mario, however, furrowed his eyebrows.

How did they even fit in there in the first place? He blinked, then shook his head to rid his mind of the creepy thought.

"YAY! We get to fight Mario!" cried Private Goomp excitedly, jumping up and down in his nighties.

"FINALLY! You're in for a shellish ride!" exclaimed Corporal Paraplonk, adjusting the red bucket over his eyes.

"Woohoo," Sergeant Guy said rather flatly, rolling his eyes.

"Well, I'll leave you three to deal with these bumbling brothers. DEFEAT THEM!" Kamek used his magic to teleport himself out of the dream. Mario and Dreamy Luigi (who had once again regained consciousness), readied themselves to fight the three minions.

"Alright! You're all going to lose! But first…" Private Goomp let the suspense sink in before finishing his statement.

"STRATEGY MEETING!"

"…What?" Mario and Dreamy Luigi stated in unison as the Elite Trio ran away.
