I am a big fan of Desperate Housewives so here is my spin off of the series :)

Tulip Drive

"Tulip Drive is a cozy street in the heart of Fairview. The gardens are perfectly manicured, the neighbourhood is clean and most importantly, the residents are friendly. Yes, to the naked eye Tulip Drive gleamed with perfection. But as everyone knows, every street has its secrets, and when I lived there, me and my friends shared the juiciest gossip."

The day started as any other day would have, I leisurely woke up around noon, the sun peaking through the windows and glowing on my body. I grudgingly stood up, wrapping a new pink silk robe around my body as I opened the curtains. My phone started to ring loudly, but I couldn't help but stare outside. The way the sun was glowing...it was something extraordinary. "Are you going to pick up your phone Marina?" Right, I wasn't here alone. A masculine figure dressed in the nude was sprawled along my bed grinning from ear to ear. Most women would feel some sort of guilt if they were sleeping with one of their best friends husband, but not me. There was some sort of deep connection that I shared with him, something that I knew he didn't share with his wife Ida. Maybe it was the age difference between us, but something felt good. He was the richest guy not only on the street but perhaps the whole town, which made me feel like I was wearing a security blanket at all times. "Let it go to voice mail" I said as I jumped into bed shaking the headboard. The room suddenly filled with awkward tension as his wife's voice started talking over the voice mail. "Hey Marina, all the girls are almost here for poker, apparently Amanda has some big news so see you soon!" "Shit I totally forgot," I groaned as I realized that I had to get ready. "You better get out of here Alex, the girls will be here soon." Without a second glance the mature man started frantically getting dressed, with a worried expression plastered on his face. Within twenty minutes I had showered, straightened my dark brown hair and was wearing a tight form fitting coral dress with matching wedges, perfect for the beautiful day. My house was awfully quiet so I figured Alex just sneaked out the back while I was showering. Praying that my gardener didn't see the older man creeping outside, I strut down the stairs when a noise catches my attention. It was like a soft creak coming from the living room. Thinking it was probably Alex or one of the girls, I whipped around the corner with a big smile and yelled "BOO". Wrong choice. Within seconds, I was punched to the ground and pinned to the floor. My vision had gone blurry so all I could see was a hooded figure and unfortunately, that was all I was ever going to see. The blood dripped from my nose as the attacker kept striking me with alarming strength. Screaming was useless because my throat was being choked by two crushing hands, ringing my neck as if it were a wet cloth. My vision kept getting worse until suddenly, the pain just stopped. I was dead.
