A/N- This was written for a friend, she wanted me to do a multi-chapter lawyer based fanfic but I have no clue about lawyers and the stuff they do. Yes this is a slow chapter, it is boring too. But it was just for me to plan it all out and place the basics down. If anyone has suggestions for the story or whatever then do tell me~
I own nothing. I do not own DGM nor the character within it. If I did Tyki and Lavi would have had a lot of kinky time together and Cross Marian would be more hands on with Allen but sadly since I don't own them they cant do that. …. On with the story
Office Affair
The alluring scent of strong coffee mixed with hints of pastry filled the empty room, with the large window open it allowed the welcoming morning air to fill the office as well as the outside noise of cars, shouts, bus horns and whatever else. Sighing to himself the young adult sat upon the comfortable leather chair and logged into the flat screen computer to scan through the daily emails that the staff of Camelot Lawyers usual got. It was full of unnecessary information about staff parties, birthdays, opening days for the youths that was working there to gain experience as well as inspections and a few other notices. Placing his coffee up down against the mahogany desk he picked up the diary book and flicked through it to the correct date, scanning the appointments and the meetings he noticed that the day would be busy and one that he shall find himself exhausted at the end.
Just as he was about to pick up his coffee to take a sip of the waking liquid he heard the elevator doors slowly open and the annoying voice "Eighth Floor, Doors Opening" echo to his ears. Time and time again he had requested for the obnoxious voice to be changed but he was denied that simple request so he usually took the flight of stairs. Glancing up from where he was sitting he noticed a very elegantly dressed, olive skinned male stride in with his trademark top hat and tail coat that made him look more like a butler then a lawyer.
"Morning~" The smooth voice purred out as gloved hands took the diary to see to his more important clients.
"Morning Mikk" The youth replied as he took his mug and drank from it, wishing he had placed more sugar in it then just one teaspoon.
"Not energetic this morning? How unusual for you" The older gentleman replied and placed the book back down, he grabbed a chair and pulled it up to the desk to make light conversation with his Personal Assistant.
The youth huffed softy and glanced at the male "You know the situation that happened yesterday?"
"Hmm, the one three floors down with the new lawyer…Walker I believe his name is" The male took his hat off and placed it down onto the desk.
"Bingo, I have to fill out a risk assessment for him."
"Really? But you do not work on that floor, you work with me" The tanned skinned male raised a brow, curiously.
"Exactly, but his PA hasn't turned up" The youth sighed and made an attempt to faceplant the desk, however a soft gloved hand was placed between the desk and the youth's forehead before they made impact.
"I shall sort it out, Coelho" The Portuguese male purred slightly as he leaned back in the chair watching his personal assistant.
"Must you call me bunny?" The redhead sighed heavily and began to click away on the computer trying to send off the latest risk assessment for his floor.
"I cannot help it, you do adore them so much and at times you remind me of one"
The redhead continued with what he was doing, the offices didn't officially open yet but he was a person who liked to be organized and got all the simple tasks done before the clients enter.
"You know you have a divorce meeting soon" The redhead glanced at the digital clock to the left of him after a few moments of silence.
"They are not my specialty, why do I have them? Send it over to Sheryl and let him deal with his own work for once" A long exhausted sigh filled the room as Tyki pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Yeah…I am not doing that. The last time I tried to give him work, I ended up doing more then what I was suppose to. You know I don't like working on the other floors. The staff there aren't nice!" The redhead pouted childishly causing the male to chuckle.
"I know I know, that is why the day I saw you down on the first floor I knew I had to have you work here." The olive skinned male stood from the seat and placed it back where he had gotten it from. "That and another reason" The male muttered under his breath but he knew the redhead could hear him due curious look on his face. "Ah, the doors are opening. Better make sure I have the correct forms and the report on last weeks meeting done this morning"
"Aye, you will have them before lunch Mikk" The redhead stood from the desk to walk over towards the filing cabinet that was in the corner of the room close to the window. "You know…the criminal cases are more….tough…" the redhead was concerned for his boss. The last time he did a criminal case the woman who murdered her own child was let off by the state for her pleading insanity and was sentenced to three years in a mental facility. The youth did not like the outcome, she wasn't insane anyone could have seen it within her eyes.
"I know, your concern for me is very touching however, it is my speciality and you know I cannot stand divorces, wills, contacts, and property, Banks, suing and dealing with the bailiffs." The male took his top hat from the desk and hung it on the hook just behind the desk.
"No…you deal with criminals…" The redhead sighed softly and searched for the forms he had to have one of the clients fill while they waited. "You know what happened the last time" He dropped the files on the desk and went to fetch a pen out of the stationary cupboard.
"Yes, the client came in and I understand he scared you by waving around a knife but I dealt with it didn't I?" Tyki looked over to the youth, admiring his body while he wasn't looking.
"Yes, but you was almost stabbed idiot" The redhead took the pen and a few more as clients always seemed to steal pens, in the morning he would start of with seven by evening there would be none left.
"Lavi…I know you are concerned. I will arrange a security guard to be on the floor from now on. Would that ease you?" He took the file with the first client and scanned the contents to understand his client's situation.
"Yes Tyki, that would help" Lavi sat down and began to fill out the usual stuff on the form, client number, the firm's email address, telephone number and the name of the lawyer they have come to see.
"Alright, I shall see you later" With that Tyki walked off into his office leaving behind Lavi and his duties.
An hour later and the first client walked in, his face looked scared but Lavi could tell it was because of the tattoos. They looked odd, and old, typical prison tattoos. He placed the form in front of the client and a pen. "Fill this in, I shall tell Mr Mikk you are here" Lavi stood from his seat and walked over to the glass door. He gently knocked onto it and popped his head inside "Tyki your ten o'clock has just arrived. The files for him should be inside your desk….what are doing?" Lavi stared at the shirtless male, noting his muscular chest and scars he had gotten from a fire he was in when he was younger.
"It is called exercise" Tyki explained in his soft voice and drank from a cool bottle of water.
"You know if you take the stairs instead of the elevator that's classed as exercise too"
"So is sex but you don't hear me say it" Tyki glanced at the redhead a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
"…." Lavi remained silent and walked back to his desk. It was the simple jokes that made it fun to work with Tyki. He was not strict as Sheryl or as lenient as the new lawyer that dealt with the banking side. "You can go on in now" Lavi smiled at the client and pointed to the glass door, he never understood how some clients could get the glass door to the office confused with the cupboard door. Sitting back down near his desk Lavi received a call from Skinn, the lawyer that dealt with the Bailiffs which was often tied in with the banks. He noted how Skinn needed Tyki's help with his current situation, apparently Skinn had a client who wanted the property back for the bank however there is a criminal that owns the place and he wanted Tyki's guidance. Lavi said as soon as Tyki was done with his current client that he would give him the message, though Skinn was impatient and wanted everything doing at once but Lavi could not argue with the man as he was trying his best to sort it all out. He typed on the computer while listening to Skinn's ranting about how lazy some of the PAs where and how he could make them work faster. Lavi told him that he would do his best and placed the phone down, he was busy typing up last weeks meeting into a report that would be sent to the staff members as well as the personal assistance.
Finally he heard the voices of Tyki and the client fill the room and glanced up to witness the two shaking hands. The client thanked Lavi before walking off to the elevator and disappearing. Lavi stood from his seat since he was sitting for a few hours typing away and needed a break. He stapled the report together he had printed off for Tyki and dropped it on his desk, the lawyer watched his assistant walk around and chuckled.
"This job doesn't seem so tiresome" Tyki commented as he glanced at Lavi's computer screen and the countless of appointments he had next week.
"Yeah, I thought that, but then I came here and started working for you and your flirtatious brother." Lavi took the paper that the client had left behind and scanned it for any interesting news.
"Oh come now, surely I am not that bad"
"…..you're the worst"
Tyki chuckled and walked over to the redhead, pushing him against the wall causing him to drop the paper. Lavi glanced up at Tyki, his pale cheeks grew a soft colour as he felt the whispering breath of the other's brush tantalizingly against his lips.
"Mr Mikk it is against the rules to be this close to your employees…it is sexual harassment" Lavi whispered softly, a grin on his face.
"No my dear lovely, this is sexual harassment" Tyki leaned forward, sliding his large hands along the small body and groping his ass.
Lavi gasped, his lips parted a little. "That's….we'll be caught…"
"Doesn't that add to the excitement~?"
"Not after what happened the last time…your brother walked in on you screwing me into the desk!"
"Wasn't that fun~?" he placed a gentle kiss against his lover's cheek before walking towards his door. "Dinner is at one. If you are late then I shall have to punish you~"
