The needle-like rain pelted the two boys; meanwhile, their friend cried from above. The knife lodged in the ginger's stomach was held tightly by his best friend; Nagato had committed murder. The dying boy leaned into Nagato, whispering this message:

"You and Konan…you've gotta stay alive somehow…" To the tune of Konan's pained wails from above, Yahiko fell to the ground, dead. The world in a haze all around him, Nagato filled with anger.

"Why?" he screamed at the rain; "You were the only way to peace! Now…now you're gone…" The red-head ripped Konan from the arms of her captor, and stalked away, the body of Yahiko in tow.

Nagato was determined; Yahiko would not be buried.
