"Happy birthday, Robin!" Kid Flash yelled as he zipped into the room. Robin turned and was nearly knocked over when Kid rammed into him. They both fell to the floor. They glanced at each other before they burst out laughing.

"Thanks man. Just what I needed; a concussion." Robin joked. He had gotten used to this, having lived in the mountain with the weirdo for awhile. Kid Flash had a look of pure innocence showing on his face, his green eyes shining with anticipation. Robin gave in.

"Okay, what is it?" He asked while pulling himself off the floor so he could lean against the counter of the kitchen. Kid shot up and grabbed Robin's arm, pulling him towards the living room. A box wrapped in shiny yellow paper with a big red bow on top was sitting on the coffee table. Robin didn't really care for presents but Kid urged him to sit, shoving the box into his arms. It was really heavy.

"What the heck? Did you get me a miniature tank or something?" Kid glared for a second but it faded as Robin started to open it. He slowly pulled the ribbon off and folded it evenly, laying it carefully beside him. He was just doing this to annoy Kid, usually he would rip it open without a second thought. Except when it was sent by a villain, safety first on those. Kid was leaning eagerly towards Robin, eyes fixed on the present. He wanted to shred it open himself but held back. Robin took several minutes to open it, by that time Kid was clenching his teeth together and pulling his hair out. What was revealed confused Robin. He was now holding a lantern, but not an ordinary lantern. A Green Lantern lantern. Kid was grinning from ear to ear and Robin had a look of horror over his features. He looked at Kid with fear in his eyes, which was not obvious to Kid because of the mask.

"Where the heck did you get this?" Robin asked. What if Batman saw this?

"I borrowed it from a friend?" Kid tried to argue but it was pointless.

Meanwhile in Justice League Headquarters. One of the Green Lantern's was looking for his power source. He turned to Flash and Batman, who were whispering to each other, and huffed.

"Do either of you know where my lantern is?" Batman and Flash looked at him and burst out laughing. Batman composed himself while Flash rolled around on the floor.

"Kid Flash stole it. You'll find him at the mountain!" Batman yelled as the Green Lantern stormed off.

The two boys were now hiding under Robin's bed. Robin had left a note saying he was sorry and that Kid Flash was at fault for all of it. Kid Flash was still smiling a cheshire cat smile.

"Isn't this the best birthday you've ever had?" Kid asked joyfully. Robin noticed that Kid was actually thoroughly enjoying himself and didn't want to ruin it. Robin mustered a smile and playfully punched Kid in the shoulder.

"It's certainly the most exciting one I've had so far." Robin joked. He moved farther under the bed, waiting for his impending doom. All Kid Flash could do was laugh and call him a scared little bird.
