Ariel glanced at Jim. The only man she had let into her heart after she found out Eric had been cheating on her. The only man she had trusted to give her body, mind, and heart too. The only man she will ever trust from today. The sound of fisted hands banging on doors and screams made Ariel let out a small gasp and turn her head to look back. She looked up at Jim again and this time he looked at her. He gave her his special smile and took her hand into his and squeezed it. She smiled back at her and squeezed his hand back.
"We'll make through this. I promise you," Jim said his eyes sparkling with love for her. She smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
"Of course we will. I love you," She said solemnly. Jim grinned at her. A scream from the distance shook them back from their moment. She glanced back and saw guards running past the alleyway they were in. As if on cue Jim grabbed her and carried her bridal style running up the stairs towards the roofs. A blob of pink, squishy, unknown material floated near the end of the roof guarding his solar surfer.
"Thanks Morph," He said to the pink blob guarding the vehicle. He turned to look at Ariel. "Ready to face our new future?" Ariel looked at him. She saw what once was, a poor servant and a princess. What is now, escape from the lives they hated so much. What is meant to be the love of a servant and a princess turning to something more. She looked at him with trust in her eyes and nodded.
"Yes," She said. "Yes," And with that word they both flew through the galaxies and stars leaving all that they held precious in their heart. Trusting each other for whatever the future held for them.
