He looks so lost and alone. Sittin there like that all hunched up and sweaty….he's pale too. I should go over there and help him up. It's gonna go hard on him, I know that, killin a 'brother cop', it ain't somethin you think you're ever gonna have to do, ya know?
Not that he was……a 'Brother Cop' I mean. Brother cops don't go double cross their friends, they don't steal a million dollars worth of cocaine and hide out with it hear in the woods. They don't kill in cold blood, no matter how much of a rat fink Crandell was.
But most of all they don't try and kill their brother cops.
Cases like this one they leave a bad feelin, ya know? Like your gut's been twisted into a knot…. not happy or sad… just…..well……nothin.
And Hutch…..I think it was too close to home, ya know.…the drugs….I….I mean its not all that long ago that we were fightin that battle ourselves.…

Dammit. Dammit dammit dammit. I didn't want to kill him, not a brother cop. Why did he struggle like that? Why?
He probably wouldn't have gotton a jail sentence anyway. Sure, he'd been kicked off the force and good riddance…but at least he'd be alive.
I don't understand it, ya know? I don't understand what could drive someone to steal, to steal drugs and sell them on again, to knowingly create so much misery for so many people….those drugs would have been back on the street next week and some kid would be smoking them…or worse….hell I should know…
Maybe I'm no better than them, hell I was a drug addict for God's sake...maybe I should just admit it, go to IA, take whatever's thrown at me…if I don't how am I any better than them?
Or maybe I'm just tired…….
