Humans. They are the most consistently indecisive creatures to ever walk this beautiful earth which most of humanity calls home. To some, they are a nuisance. To others, they just do what most people do. No two are alike. Each person has their own quirks, but to Emma these two girls sitting directly in front of her may as well be clones of each other. They both had long, coffee colored, hair and matching purses. Both had their nails painted a bright shade of pink. The two also had matching smart phones. To put it simply, you could stick a mirror in between the two and it look the same. And they both were staring with a confused expression at Hatsune Miku, who was currently trying to figure out how two people could be so similar.
"Excuse me, Blue." Commented the left brunette with obvious annoyance in her voice. "Do you want something, or do you just like staring at people?"
Hatsune snapped out of deep thought. Why did people always have to mess with her? "Of course, I love spending every waking moment of my morning wondering, 'What are my two role models doing right now, so I may find them and bask in their ever-living glory." Her words absolutely dripping with sarcasm. The girls turned around and crossed their arms with a satisfying hmph.
The blue haired girl continued to think aimlessly about different topics. One of her favorite things to do was to study people. You can generally learn a lot about a person from their body language, facial expression, and tone of voice. Hatsune Miku, not having been very social, liked to pretend that she knew these people and often had mental conversations with them. She was often seen with weird expressions on her face and moving her hands as if she was speaking. Because of this she was deemed mentally unstable by her peers, so really these voices were her only friends.
The bluenette looked around the classroom to see if there was anyone interesting. In the back of the room sat a smaller boy. He was slouching in his chair, his black hair covered his eyes. The boy looked tired. No. He looked depressed. Miku wanted nothing more than to go over and talk to him, but class was starting so instead, she said a mental hello to the boy, and turned back to the teacher.
Then she heard it.
"Hello."
The girl turned around and faced the boy in the back. His expression didn't change even the slightest. Then she heard it again. This time the voice obviously belonged to the strange boy in the back, as he had looked Hatsune's way and completely ignored the lecture the teacher was giving.
"What is your name, strange girl with blue hair?" The voice said questionably.
"My name is Hatsune. What is yours?"
She heard nothing. Was it just her imagination? Then it replied with a stutter in a tone half lower. "My um. My name is Marco."
"Marco. That name isn't half bad. Do you mind if after class we talk for real?"
"Of course, my blue haired friend."
Twenty minutes later the class was over and the students began to recover from the teacher's monotonous voice. They charged out of the room, leaving only the bluenette and the boy with freckles. The two began some small talk, while the teacher stared at them curiously. These two had never spoken to each other in their lives, but now they were acting like best friends.
Hatsune and Marco lived the rest of their days in content. The end.
