.remus and sirius
Remus wasn't exactly sure what had happened at the time - it was all sort of a blur really, well, except the part where Sirius kissed him. Oh, and of course, the whole James thing. Even remembering it years later, he couldn't really remember how they had ended up in the dorm alone.
Actually, Remus had a sneaking suspicion that James had planned it that way. Sirius and Remus were just pawns in the great game of chess that James played against -well who knew really? Probably Lily, but that was beside the point. The point was, that was how it ended up, with Sirius and Remus in the boys' dormitory alone together - or so they thought.
Remus had actually been up early and he had been reading -as usual. For some unknown reason Peter and James had disappeared while he was reading. So quietly, in fact, that he hadn't even known until he looked up and noticed that out of the three other beds, only one was occupied. Sirius, of course, was still sleeping - it was the weekend after all.
Remus gazed for a moment at the mess of long black hair that was peeking out from under the 16-year-old's covers. The smaller boy inhaled deeply, savoring the smell that was Sirius. It was slightly spicy, mixed with the smell of grass and wet dog. Remus had to wonder what Sirius would taste like if he smelled that good. And then he sucked in another breath as Sirius moaned in his sleep and rolled over the clutch his blanket, a slight frown creasing the perfect forehead.
Remus knew that he was imagining it but if he strained his ears he could almost imagine that the black-haired boy's mutterings sounded something like, "Remus." And then Remus was standing up and stretching his arms high above his head. But before he knew it he was standing right at the edge of Sirius's bed, gazing down at him, and reaching his hand to brush a piece of hair off the boy's forehead.
Although his touch had been light, it was as though a shock went through Sirius's body, gray eyes flew open and gazed right back into Remus's wide eyes. Pulling his hand back quickly, Remus opened his mouth to make up some excuse but was stopped by something - Sirius was kissing him. Remus stood rather shell shocked for a moment before reaching up to entangle his hand in that black hair.
Sirius pulled back for a moment and gray eyes found brown, "You-"
And Remus nodded, "Yeah."
And then they were kissing again and deep canine growls were escaping both boys' mouths, both trying to claim dominance. Then they were interrupted by a shout - one of triumph actually. They both looked down (for that was where it was coming from) to see a disheveled looking James Potter, his hair messier than usual, his glasses lopsided, and covered in black dog hair. He was lying underneath Sirius's bed, half still under. He was attempting (struggling actually) to pull himself out. And then there he was, trying to brush off the many black dog hairs that covered his orange shirt, all the while still with a a rather stupid grin on his face.
"I knew it! You didn't, but I did!" Sirius stared at him open mouthed while James continued, "Well of course you knew, but you didn't know did you?! And I did!" James still continued to just grin at their shocked faces, "Well, lets head down to breakfast, shall we?"
And so they did.
