Incredibly short Zutara fluff. Set sometime after the "Southern Raiders" episode. When that is exactly...eh...you decide.
Disclaimer: I own nothing! Zuko, Katara, and everything else recognizable belong to Mike/Bryan/Nickelodeon.

"This is my favorite time of day," Katara whispered, running her fingers gently through a certain fire bender's coarse black hair. She was lying flush against Zuko's side, her head resting on his shoulder, nestled into the tall wild grasses.

"Why?" he asked quietly. His eyes were sleep heavy but aware, his breathing slow, and he glanced over at his water tribe peasant.

She pointed to the lavender sky, her fingers moving from east to west, while Zuko's eyes followed her movement. To their right, soft orange peeked out above treetops, waving to the world and signaling the break of the new dawn. To their left, a fading sliver of pearl white hung low in the cerulean sky.

"The moon," she said, pointing at herself, "and the sun." Her fingers flitted to his cheek. "Neither at its highest power, neither one weaker than the other. Our bending is equal right now."

He nodded, considering her reasoning. "And yet a few hours ago, you could have used the moon's power to water whip me until I begged you to stop."

"Oh, really?" Katara cocked an eyebrow. "I thought the Fire Lord was too proud to beg."

"I will never be too proud to beg for you, my Fire Lady."

~FIN~

I actually don't have the slightest idea if their bending is equal at that time of day. But I figured that if Katara rises with the moon and Zuko rises with the sun, they must be equal when both are out.
