'It had been officially a week since Robin had chose Kevin over me. Some people may think I'd be furious, perhaps that I even hate Robin but in honesty I hate my self more than anyone right now.

I guess what bugs me the most is, whats so great about Kevin? Seriously the guy looks like he belongs in the chocolate factory! And don't even get me started on how annoying that guy is.

What I want to know is, why she chose him, over me?'

It had been a whole week since Barney's heart was broken, no one really knew what was up with him besides Robin. The only other person who knew something was up, was Ted.

Ted was there the night Barney went back to the apartment to clean up any evidence he left of what could have been.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Barney heard loud persistent knocks on his front door, so he slowly got up from his couch dreading talking to anyone. He looked through the peephole, to see Lily. He sighed in defeat knowing if he didn't open the door She wouldn't stop knocking until he answered.

"Lily..what are you doing here?" he said with a blank expression on his face.

Lily stared in disbelief, she couldn't believe at what she was looking at. Lily was only sent to go talk to Barney because he wouldn't return anyone's calls.

'Barney.. your.." she gasped, as she stared at him in complete confusion. "Your not wearing a suit.." She stared at him, like she was staring at a complete stranger. Barney was wearing sweat pants. The only time Barney didnt wear a suit was during Halloween, or when he was sick. Lily knew something had to be up. She rushed right past him, into his apartment. "Alright Barney, whats going on, this isn't like you.."

Barney took a deep breath and shut the door, after lily came in. "Just didn't feel I needed them anymore.." he shrugged, walking to the kitchen.

Lily followed Barney to the kitchen. "Don't need them?.. Barney, your always in a suit. Suits are like women to you!"

Barney turned on the kitchen sink, and got himself a glass of water. "..You mean the womanizing jerk, who slept with anything that moved." he shook his head taking a sip of his water. "The same guy who cheats on the women he cares about..and cant even be with the women he loves because hes obviously not good enough.."

Lily looked down, and sighed. "Yeah.. I heard that you and Nora broke up, Barney. " she slowly looked up and put her hand on Barney's shoulder. "So Nora's the reason your not wearing your suits?.. Oh Barney." she pulled him into a hug.

Barney took a deep breath and sighed. He couldn't believe that Lily thought Nora was the girl he was talking about. He scoffed, "yeah.. Nora's the reason.." he rolled his eyes.

'Another lie.. whats new..' he thought, as he let Lily hug him.

"Barney, you cant let your break up with Nora get you down, okay?" she smiled sweetly at him, nudging him playfully. "Come to MacLaren's..everyone misses you."

Barney set down his glass of water, and walked away from Lily. "I'd rather not.." he went and sat down on his couch.

Lily groaned when Barney walked away, she once again followed him in hope to cheer him up. "Come on Barney you need to get some air.. you cant be cooped up in your apartment like this, it isn't good for you, plus I'm sure you miss suiting up."

Barney shrugged. He knew lily was right, even though he didn't want to he had to leave his apartment eventually. "Fine.. but I'll meet you there, okay?"

Lily nodded and hugged Barney one last time. "Good.. we really miss you Barney." her smiled faded as she left his apartment, she wasn't sure if she believed him when he said "I'll meet you there." But Lily had to try and be positive.

Will Barney actually listen to lily and suit up or will just continue to just lay around and mope?
