AN: If you can't spot the symbolic stuff in here, just read the AN at the bottom. It's all explained there! I'll just let you read the see if you can catch it without me telling you...
"Scatter." No emotion, except perhaps an all too well hidden tightness. Or is it just emptiness?
The blade explodes to mock sakura petals. A thousand thousand sakura petals drifting, swirling in the air.
This is the true form of my soul slayer.
They say that all good death gods are one with their soul slayer. Dissect my world and that is what you will find.
A thousand thousand duties, each reflected in a deadly shard.
Do you not realise my bankai is inescapable?
Rukia, can't you see the sakura petals that pivot in their wild dance to sway around me?
AN: um, okay, so basically, he's just angsting. how byakuya-like eh?
his blade is suppose to symbolize him. when he releases the true for of it, it looks like sakura petals, right? well, the sakura petals are actaully deadly shards of blade. the sakuar petals represent the duties that he's bound by. you might think that the fact that he was born into a noble family was good and all, (like how the blade looks like sakura petals), but it's actually a restraint. He has no choice but to fufill his duties. when he says "do you not realise my bankai is inescapable?", he's really saying that he can't escape his duties.
I suppose you could view this as just him angsting, or as a byakuyaXrukia fic. hey, i just noticed! my AN is longer than the actual story...lol
