Sake.
Sam has the hiccups. What's Jake's solution?
Sam had the hiccups. She went to her dad.
"I have the hiccups." She told him. *hiccup*
"I see that." He said.
"Well *hiccup* how should I get rid of them.
"Get a drink and hold your breath for 10 seconds." He suggested.
"Okay." Sam went and tried. "Maybe." She hoped. *hiccup* "Dang it." Grace walked in.
*Hiccup* "I have the *hiccup* hiccups." Sam said. "What should I do?" *hiccup*
"Get a drink and stand on your head." Grace answered.
"I can't stand on my head." She said. *Hiccup*
"Then I don't know." Gram left. Sam left the house. She decided to go for a ride on Ace.
"Hi *hiccup* Ace." She said as she mounted. Sam trotted and hiccuped out of the yard and headed toward War Drum Flatt. She saw a big black horse with a dark rider. *hiccup*
The rider came closer. Sam could see the rider clearly. Jake. Not that she had any doubt that it was.
"Hey brat." Jake called.
"Hi Jake." *Hiccup*
"Hiccups?" He asked.
"Ye-*hiccup*-s." Sam replied. "I've had *hiccup* them a wh-*hiccup*-ile. They're start-*hiccup*-ing to hurt." Sam rubbed her throat.
"What have you tried?" Jake asked.
"Not much. *hiccup*" Sam admitted.
"Has anyone tried to scare you?" Jake asked dismounting.
"No." Sam dismounted with another few hiccups.
"I hear surprise is a good one to." Jake offered.
"How are y-*hiccup*-ou going to surprise me?" Sam asked.
"I have an idea." Sam gave him a questing look as she hiccuped. "This should really surprise you. Probably scare you, too, hopefully just at first though."
"Go ahead and try." Sam said with a hiccup.
Jake rubbed the back of his neck before he grabbed Sam gently and kissed her soundly on the lips. She was surprised. No doubt. She was also pleased. They kissed for a minute before Jake pulled away.
"Still have them." Jake asked. Sam tried to fake a hiccup.
"Can you try again?" Sam said with a flirty smile.
"Sure." Jake grabbed her and kissed her passionatly this time slipping his tongue into her mouth only to find her tongue had also been trying to get in his mouth. He chuckled against her lips. "Better?" He asked pulling away a second.
"Oh yeah." She answered not bothering to pull away. They both pulled away to look at each other.
"I should get the hiccups more often." Sam laughed. Jake nodded.
"Yeah, Sam, will you be my girlfriend?" Jake asked grabbing Sam's hand.
"Yes, Jake, I will." Sam said.
"Let's go back." Jake said giving Sam another kiss.
"Okay." They both climbed onto their horses and went to River Bend Ranch. They dismounted their horses and walked inside. When they heard a hiccup come from Wyatt.
"Dang Sam, I think your gave me your hiccups." Sam laughed and pulled Jake away.
"You goin' to cure his hiccups too?" Sam teased.
"Nah." Jake laughed too.
5 years later
"Jake I've got the hiccups." Sam said after she hiccuped.
"I think I have away to cure those." Jake said as he got down on one knee. "Samantha will you marry me?"
"Yes!" Sam lauched herself at Jake and showered him in kisses as she muttered, "I really should get hiccups more often." They chuckled still kissing.
"Yes. You. Should." Jake said in between kisses.
