I feel this song displays Rachel's role in the group, and Jake's debt to her, because, as we all know, she was his hitman, did his dirty work. This fic reflects on Jake's guilt and feelings for his cousin, her role in his life, etc. And at the end, the other Animorphs recognize how she kept his hands clean.
