TITLE: Wish
AUTHOR: Agent Elisa
DISCLAIMER: Not mine, any of this.
RATED: G
SPOILERS: "Harry Potter and the Goblet
of Fire"
KEYWORDS: Do I dare calling it a romance?
NOTE: Even if you might think so when reading
the first lines of this fic, I'm not too fond
of the Harry/Cho 'theory', so don't expect
more of that in my stories... I had a really
hard time writing this... :)
Also, I haven't read the whole of the "Goblet"
yet, so I have no idea where Rowling took
it with Harry and Cho. However, this story is
set to be somewhere after the lake task. And
we're completely ignoring Krum, though I do think
he's a pretty nice character, could be useful
in another fic...
SUMMARY: Our favourite hero doesn't realise
he's being watched when throwing longing
looks at someone called Cho...

He moved slowly through the corridor, knowing She
was there, just a few feet away, chatting along
with her friends, laughing, speaking in hushed
tones as if trying to keep a great secret.
She was there, shining in her own beauty, maybe not
realising she was showing off to the whole world,
but in a way he wished would never end.
She was there, like a godess, playing her expressful
game, a game that was enough to drive him crazy.
Cho.
Cho Chang, the angel, the Seeker, the girl who stood
in front of any other girl Harry had ever seen.
His hands ached badly to touch her, run his fingers
through her shining hair, caress her gentle face,
hold her in his arms and never let her go.
His lips felt so swollen and dry when he contemplated
the horrible thought that he might never get the chance
to taste -her- soft lips, never kiss her, never lose
himself in the black and crimson of her being.
Harry noticed he had pressed his nails so hard into his
palms that it hurt, but he didn't pay much attention to it.
Not now, when she suddenly turned around, like in slow
motion, and his nervous heart gave a sudden leap.
Her eyes caught his, and it seemed the world was on fire.
The familiar red colour rising on his cheeks, Harry
felt himself being hypnotized by Cho's deep, black eyes.
He could almost hear her soft voice, calling his name
with mild affection, and his body went stiff and limbless
at the same time; an interesting sensation he'd never thought
of as possible before.
But the moment was easily torn apart; the picture was broken,
the image shattered, the dream burst, as another voice drew
him back to reality.
"Cho!"
It was Cedric Diggory. Cedric, the other Hogwarts Champion,
the handsome pretty-boy, Cho's cause of -true- affection,
not the imagined kind Harry thought she had reserved for
him.
"Cedric... hi!"
Harry closed his eyes as he registred Cedric's rushed
footsteps coming up from behind and then sweeping past
him in just a few seconds.
He tried hard to ignore the happy conversation that
followed, and almost succeded, to his own surprise.
Thinking it was useless to stand there, watching Cho
and Pretty-Boy Diggory involve themselfs in another deep
conversation, Harry slowly turned and started walking
in the opposite direction.
That was when he saw someone in the corner of his eye;
someone watching him closely, almost carefully.
And that someone was Hermione. He couldn't help his
curiousity; he turned and felt himself being hit in
the face with shock as he saw the very serious and
cold expression her face held: jealousy.
She looked drawn, angry, and somehow even -sad-.
For a moment, Harry caught her eyes, and went cold
inside from the sorrowful look in them; then she was
gone, leaving him standing all alone in the now deserted
corridor, wondering what went on inside the head of
his best friend.
END
Yup, that's it.
