Can't Shake You
1, 2
Dino sped through the streets of Sicily. With his business concluded for the day, he was headed to meet his friends for dinner at his mansion. Flipping through the stations on the radio, "...you left me.." began playing. He ended up snapping it off. Too many sad love songs. Too many reminders.
3, 4
Steering his Ferrari down the narrow roads, he avoided any streets near the Vongola Headquarters, even if it meant being late.
5, 6
Grinding to a halt in front of his mansion, Dino jumped from the Ferrari. Rushing through the entry way, he avoided the coat closet and its contents. Kyoya's spare black gakuran top was still in there.
7, 8
Tossing his jacket & keys to Romario, he slowed his pace as he made his way through his home to the dining hall. Yet again, he contemplated sending the jacket back. But he knew he wouldn't, it was one of the few things he had left of their time together.
9, 10
He knew he needed to let go. Kyoya was no longer his. Anyone else he had dated, he was able to let go and move on. This depression that had settled over him, needed to lift.
11, 12
His thoughts having depressed himself even further, Dino detoured through his study. Pouring himself a stiff brandy, he took a long drink. Holding the strong liquor in his mouth, he closed his eyes. Promising himself he would be a good host, he swallowed.
13, 14, 15, 16
Placing the crystal glass on his desk, Dino's eyes spotted the phone. He had ordered Romario to intercept and block all calls from Kyoya. He had almost convinced himself that he was ready to move on.
17, 18
Steeling himself for dinner with Tsuna and his guardians, knowing Kyoya wouldn't be a part of a group setting, Dino attempted to push all thoughts of Kyoya out of his mind. Sighing, he continued his walk toward his dining hall.
19, 20
He really wasn't in the mood for company. Tsuna had pressed him, stating that it had been too long since he had shared dinner with his big brother. He knew that seeing Tsuna would only make him wonder more about Kyoya and what he was up to.
21, 22, 23, 24
Romario opened the dining hall doors as Dino approached them. Glancing down, he tugged at his sleeves to better cover his tattoos. Dino was reminded of the long-sleeved white shirt in his room. Kyoya's scent was completely gone from it now but it still hung on the chair by his closet.
25, 26, 27, 28
Shaking his head to try and re-organize his thoughts, Dino looked up. Standing near the closest end of the dining table was Kyoya, with tonfas at the ready.
