"Well Gaang," said Aang, grinning, "We have some free time while Toph teaches me earth bending, so where should we go?"
"I dunno, since Sokka's choice of the trip to the library in the desert didn't work out, how about he picks." Toph offered, emotionless as usual.
Sokka didn't need even a second to think. "Kyoshi Island!" he announced, very happily.
Katara agreed, so Aang turned and lept onto Appa and began to prepare for the trip. Toph remained where she was, clearly confused.
"Sokka," she said when Aang and Katara went up to the front of the saddle, "what is so special about Kyoshi Island?"
"Oh, that's where Suki and her Kyoshi Warriors live! I guess we never really told you about it. I can't wait to see Suki!" he exclaimed, with a calm and loving voice as he walked to the great bison. She could feel his heart rate speed up as he said her name.
"Oh…" Toph said, realizing why he was so eager to go there. She realized she was alone and bended up to Appa's saddle.

She quickly changed the subject, and began to make fun of his efforts to fight Ty Lee during their last encounter. Of course, as usual, he became very flustered. But somehow, the conversation went back to Suki and Kyoshi.

They soon landed on the island, and were greeted with the usual crowd, even the Foamy Mouth Guy. ("Oh my gosh!! It's the Avatar!! foam Avatar!! more foam)There were all sorts of cheers for the Avatar, but the greatest was from Suki as she ran to Appa's side. Toph felt Sokka get up and jump off the saddle to greet her.

Toph knew she wouldn't be missed anytime soon, and followed Katara to the hut they would be sharing. She sighed. "What's wrong Toph?" Katara questioned, hearing her sigh and realizing she hadn't complained or called her Sugar Queen since before they deciding on coming to Kyoshi Island.
"Nothin. I've been on a flying bison and haven't been able to "see" all day. What do ya expect?" she muttered, walking into her room.
