Oh how I love drabble exchange.

With the prompts Garden Gnomes, tire swing & pancakes.

I own nothing.

Molly kicked at the dirt in the garden with her toe. She didn't know why she bothered coming with Fabian and Gideon anymore. Arthur Weasley was never going to notice her, but she always tagged along with her older brothers anyways. So there she was, at Arthur's house feeling postively glum. Even the garden gnomes seemed the be paying more attention to her as the boys tossed a Quaffle around the yard. The little ugly creatures were making faces at her before diving back into their holes so she wouldn't catch them. She was tempted to stomp on their stupid hills.

She sighed and flopped onto the tire swing that was hanging from a shady willow tree in the corner of the garden closest to Arthurs house and watched him toss that stupid Quaffle around with her brother.

"Pancakes Molly?" She heard a soft voice behind her and nearly jumped clean out of her skin. She whirled around in alarm, on to see cooky Xenophilius Lovegood standing behind her holding a plate of pancakes.

"Oh Xeno, it's you." She said laughing at herself. "You scared me, when did you get here?"

"The wrackspurts must be getting to you." He answered her, shaking his head knowledgably. "I know what that's like, that's why I don't fly. They always seem to attack me whilst I'm in the air."

Molly raised an eyebrow at him, but he didn't seem to notice. She watched as he continued to eat his pancakes, looking up every now and then to watch the other boys playing.

"Arthur's mum really does make good pancakes." He commented.

"Erm... I've heard that she does." Molly agreed hesitantly. "Why don't you go throw the ball with them? Surely the wrackspotles won't attack you, they're not even on brooms." She told him conversationally, hoping he'd go away and leave her to sulk.

"You seemed lonely." He told her, again with that soft distant voice that was entirely unfitting for a boy of such a large stature. "Besides, you're prettier than they are." He said simply, but walked off none the less.

Molly blushed.
