After knocking once and hearing a sleepy "come in", Will cautiously steps into Magnus' room. It's early, but normal-early and Magnus-early are entirely different. He wants to remind her they have a meeting in an hour with an Abnormal interested in staying at the Sanctuary.

"Hey," he says, slowly approaching her. "You okay?"

She smiles up at him groggily from under the covers and nods. "Just a late night."

Will returns her smile. "Just wondered if you remembered about our meeting with Dornes. I can handle it if you'd like to sleep in."

"That's alright. Won't take me long to get ready."

He's about to sit down on the chair next to her bed when something metallic catches his eye on the seat. He pales slightly realizing it's a pair of handcuffs. She notices his reaction and glances down at object on the chair, a lazy smirk on her lips.

"You uh, have a cop over last night?" he asks with a highly uneasy smile, clearing his throat.

Awkward.

"Actually," she replies, around a yawn, then grins. "I was the cop last night."

"Ah." He nods, and clears his throat again.

Seriously awkward.

"Just throw them in the top drawer of my nightstand," she offers, gesturing towards her bedside.

Will hesitates for a moment before swooping them up and opening the drawer. His faces goes just a little whiter and he vows never to open that drawer again, no matter what she tells him. Dropping the handcuffs in (where they look more than at home), he shuts the drawer a bit quicker and louder than he intended, and takes a seat on the chair.

What the hell was some of that stuff?

Actually, he's not sure he wants to know.

Glancing up, he finds Magnus smirking at him and can't prevent the blush that creeps up his neck and onto his cheeks.

"Anyways," he says, trying so hard to avoid her eyes. But that smirk.

"Give me a half hour and a cup of tea and I'll be ready," she says, still wearing that damned expression on her face.

He nods, staring at his feet.

"Sounds like a plan."

Glancing at her once before standing up, he turns to leave.

"Oh, and Will?" she asks in a serious tone, and he turns in the doorway with his hand on the jamb.

"Yeah, Magnus?" he answers, eyes curious.

Her expression grows mischievous. "Expect a quiz later."

He smiles and shakes his head, and this time really does turn to get the hell out of there.

So very awkward.
