Divination Assignment 2: Alternatively write a family fic about your chosen character becoming a parent.

He did not need to be a genius to know she was angry right now, one hand on her hip and the other on her swollen belly was all the sign he needed.

James takes a few seconds to rack his brain on what he could have possibly done to anger his wife, he can think of nothing.

"I have a feeling I should know what have done, but unfortunately I don't so if you could explain that be great Lilypad," James says, using his wife's nickname in the hope of dampening her anger.

"Lets have a baby you said, but it's alright for you because you're not the one who's fat with swollen ankles, back ache and, being kicked and punched from the inside" Lily ranted, as much as she loved the baby growing inside her she hated being pregnant.

James tempted to point out that it was Lily who'd first broached the subject of having a child, but the temptation was quickly squashed by the glare Lily was giving him.

"I know you're uncomfortable right now love but the baby is due in a few weeks and once you hold our baby for the first time all of this will be forgotten."

James could see the anger leaving

Lily's face at the thought of their

baby actually being there, they had

decided against finding out the

baby's gender and neither one could wait to find out if it was a boy or girl.

"You're right, it will especially when I get to name the baby," Lily says, grinning the previous anger she felt truly far away.

"Only if the baby is a boy," James retorted, they had a deal if the baby was a boy Lily got to name him and if the baby was girl he'd get to name her.

"The baby is a boy, call it mother's intuition but I know this baby is a boy"

"You sound just like my mum, James call it woman's intuition, my grandchild is going to be a boy" James says, badly mimicking his mum's voice and once again earning a glare from his wife. "Was it putting you in the same category as my mum? or the mimicking her voice the reason I'm sleeping on the sofa tonight?.".

"Both" Lily huffs. Ever since she'd gotten pregnant James had gotten considerably less funny and seeing as she never found him that funny before it wasn't that difficult for him to broach into irritating terrority.

Most men who had somehow managed to upset their pregnant wife twice in one day would be thinking of ways to make it up to her, but not James. No, he was thinking that if his mum and Lily were right he'd never hear the end of it.

Although he couldn't help thinking having a son would be nice.
